I trust your judgement and conclusion but I'm not seeing why the spacers would be a barrier. Can't you tape the spacers to the body and the cover to the spacer? Is it that you don't think that taping them that way will be robust enough for a trial period?

Nothing that an alcohol wipe won't clean up, IMO.

No, got worse, she got discharged at 19:30 and was back in at 6:00 with a severe allergic reaction to something, sounds trivial but it was very scary yesterday morning, she came home late afternoon but she's in bed sleeping continually more or less since

More of a pain in the ass… or me being lazy… not impossible though.

If you drill the holes and don't like the covers on, the holes make it look more "vintage".

No not really, at the time I thought my playing days were over due to an accident in the workshop and I needed to money to help pay off debts from being in university so no, would be nice to still have it but it's gone

Regardless of how long the tape is down? I find that hard to believe. A day or two to see how you like it shouldn't hurt anything, IMO.

He would KNOW it was there regardless. There is no greater torture to the OCD-affected collector...

3" strap but the pain is on the other side. Wrapping the strap around the bout makes the pain go away and makes the bass feel more snug when standing or seated.
