Sh*t, I should have thought about it before passing it in chrome hardware, a black pickguard would have cost me less...

I have both Gibsons and Epi Classic Pro's...

To me they feel quite similar in sound and feel... There are obvious differences like finish (nitro vs poly), which can account for some subtle differences, and hardware as well - But I don't think those differences justifies the big price difference, though...

and yet nothing will ever replace a Gibson Thunderbird ! :bassist:

And this is the interesting aspect: Surgeons always give anesthesia the blame...

For some really strange reason patients rarely die "under surgery" - It's always "under anesthesia"... :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

You say the swelling and rash was on the arm that had surgery right? Had it been anesthetics it would either have been a universal reaction - Or a local one localised to the iv line.

Maybe Wendy is allergic to the dissenfectant the used to prep her arm for surgery - That could explain the local reaction.
Or maybe the cast was too tight?

The rash ended up everywhere, even her breathing was severely restricted. It started off under her arm and on her bum but 8 hours later was covering her entire body, except her face, hands and feet.

Yes the cast was too tight, she had been either sat down or lying down and the arm elevated but we had just been to the GP and her arm had lowered, I think it just started to swell enough to restrict the blood flow out and it suddenly hit that point of no return and ballooned over a couple of minutes. She takes a drug called Rivaoxyban (spelling?) an anti clotting thing, during the swelling she must have had a burst vessel or two and her arm in now a wonderful shade of black and yellow bruising. Honestly you couldn't make this up, poor girl

Both those NRs look really nice sans pickguard. I’m pleasantly surprised actually, I wouldn’t have thunk it.

I wonder how one would go with a veneer cap over the top of the mahogany, walnut maybe?
