Sadly... I'm sure there are more men that hurt women (my opinion of which is VERY strong, and I'm sure matches the opinions of most). My commentary was regarding the fear of things in makeup, not boys vs. girls. Also... I don't contest the legitimacy of coulrophobia, I contest its trendiness. Am I a clown? That's debatable. I suppose I am somewhat of a conversational/situational/observational "clown", but no... I'm not a real clown. I suppose I could be called a "clown-symp", but it's not like I have a subscription to the industry newsletterThere are equally as many men who hurt women too, not fair to lay the blame at anyone's doorstep, some people are just like that, evil, unpleasant little ......
Every one of them a tool out to cause unhappiness, real clowns don't do drive by scarings or jump out of dark alleys
There is a recognised condition of fear of clowns - coulrophobia
Are you a clown BTW?
Edit: I'm not taking the piss honest![]()
twisted..Sorry, some dude dressed in a tango outfit was playing with your black nylons on your eb0? Buy some strings and keep the pervs away!![]()
Therein lies the humor. The little child horrified by that which is intended to bring joy & happiness to children of all ages (clearly, if the child were in any real danger, the humor would vanish instantly). But that kid in your avatar, not sure he's all that happy.![]()
I see your point now, I was talking about emotional hurt rather than physical.Sadly... nah, in there with vintage dolls..I see your point now, I was talking about emotional hurt rather than physical.
I don't understand coulrophobia, I just find clowns funny, surely it's not trendy?
Mark was playing a short scale slot-head in the photo from Uwe's House of Drool(TM)I'm not sure the slotted hs was on ss EB's - anyone have the definitive reference source?
Well far better to be the one who tries to make people laugh than the one who want's to upset I think so that probably makes us all a right bunch of clowns

A moniker with which I am not unfamiliar
No?I can't speak for other countries, but 20-30 years ago, it was little more than a word in a medical journal. Now... if you put yourself in any given social situation with 3 or more people and bring up the topic of clowns... somebody is going to try to convince you they're horrified by them. It's like migraine headaches. It used to be that folks could just have a good ol' fashion headache. For whatever reason... when the 1990s set in... headaches were all replaced with "migraines". That seems to have pretty much run its course, and I don't hear it so much any more. Any true migraine sufferer will tell you... if there were as many people suffering from actual migraines as there claimed to be throughout most of the '90s... entire nations would have shut down, and epidemics declared. Phobias, conditions, and diseases (especially those with no physical manifestations) are part of the fashion world.
All I can say is that where I live is always behind the times, glam rock should be happening anytime soon. Fingers crossed I'll be fashionably dead by the time that hits us.
