Guitar making in the UK can be a painful business, you can buy binding at 1.5, 2.0 and 2.3mm and you can get a router cutter that will cut 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0mm. The standard tends to be the 2.3mm (0.06") so in order to get that I have to scrape and sand away 0.2mm all around the body to get it flush with the binding.

Looks like I have an order to StewMac coming up and a shed load of import duty They do a nice router cutter set that does a 2.2mm cut that allows you to scrape away 0.1mm of binding (easy) to get it flush. You'd think someone in the UK would have had that covered!

I changed it last night. Apparently it was unnerving to some (this was where the whole "clown thing" came from that we've been discussing). Hence, the additional unscheduled change...

... and that was just the underwear!

Clowns are unfunny and boring -- or 'sh1t' in the vernacular -- at best, and creepy at worst. If someone had shot some of those recreational terror clowns, it would have been no more than they were asking for (sorry Vince). Those vintage dolls with the weird eyes should all be put through an industrial grinder -- they are well creepy.

And y'know it's not nice to talk about Jizz basses and tort while people are sleeping. It puts people off their porridge in the morning.

Yup, no state income tax. Pay's not as good as a lot of places, but ya get to keep more of it. And if you're near Miami/ Ft. laud.,Orlando, Tampa,even Jax, you can get flights to almost anywhere/anytime. When I was driving for a living, I was always amused hearing people in the Jacksonville area say they were almost to Miami. Yep, only another 350+miles

Emma Shepherd from ‘Shepherd’ uses a white Gibson SG/EB3 at times. Looks great. I think she must be an endorser as she also plays a white Gibson EB14/15 at other times.

I can imagine college dissertations have been written on clowns.

So, random question. I like to drop tune on basses. Primarily D Standard. Current strings on my TBird can't handle even that without getting floppy as sin. Was looking at some GHS Boomers 50-115. Think that would still sound good on a TBird in DStandard tuning?
