If you have a 370 head, then you really want a 301 cabinet not a 406. If you have a 406 or 408 (the bigger one with 4 15s), then you want a 320 head to drive it. It's odd how specific ACC heads can be about what they sound good through. The other cabinets that sounded good with a 370, at least to me, were an Ampeg stack with a 410 on top and a 115 on the bottom. Those cabinets made the 370 sound far better than it did through the 408 cabinet I had at the time. Go figure.

I'm not familiar with these front-firing Acousticabs. Do they have the soul shaking ability I've come to expect from vintage ACC cabs?

I'll vouch for the 215B. Didn't own it. But played through one on a regular basis. Was tight and punchy.
EDIT; I loved it.
EDIT #2; Use an HPF.

A 301 is mostly too big for my needs or logistical life. I had one, and it seemed to me the cons outweighed the pros- I think that would still be true now.
I've been playing the 370 through my 4 ohm 210 at band rehearsals and it's been very successful. Warm, responsive to dynamics, plenty loud enough.
You by now have read that recently I made the dubious move, via raw, undisciplined zeal, of buying a pair of JBL E140 drivers. They were in small shelf-type cabinets that contained about 2.27 cu ft of internal volume, little more than half the reommended internal vol for those speakers. So now I'm kind of constrained to either get an enclosure for them, or sell them to the next enthusiastic, hapless mark...
Meanwhile I've got my able 210, and a pair of tidy cabs that... well, need suitable speakers. But a 301 won't get enough action or love from me, I'm afraid.

Is it realistic at all, to keep the JBLS's? And then sometime down the road build an appropriate separate box for each?

Well I've got resources, just no time really. The shop is in the city, and my habitrail is tight. Maybe after the summer...

But I'll probably go get the 215B after all. I have experience with that one, and I agree it's tight and deep. Good cab. It'll get me back to zero for available bread, but alternatively I call that a "fresh start"...
