Throwin’ the horns!

Never heard it as throwin the goat... it doesn’t even make sense though I do understand the goat to be part of Satanic imagery. It more relates to the pentagram than to the goat head.

Which ironically in Rock came from Ronnie James Dio's Italian grandmother's "CORNUTO!" gesture...

Regardless of origin, I will adopt Throwin' the Goat as a great Fixerism and will use it in my everyday life!

Well, the Bright Cherry Bird came in, and boy is she BRIGHT!! Wow! Compared to my other two, it’s fluorescent! I’m on the fence about the color. I don’t know if it’s going to grow on me, or grow old. It’s pretty nice bass altogether, except for the damage at the neck. It setup great and seems very stable. The Babicz bridge is better than I thought. I actually like it. By taking the spacer out from under it, the string break angle is greatly improved. Now I just gotta get her to a luthier, and see what he says about fixing the neck thing. Then I can decide whether she’s a keeper, or a flipper.

Please! My "songs of the moment" play list includes:
Jeff Beck,
Queen,
Korn,
The Clash,
Junkhouse,
Buckethead,
Alice Cooper,
Duran Duran,
Dream Theater,
Primus,
Foo Fighters,
Yes,
Rival Sons,
Winery Dogs...

See I have Rock and Roll bonafides…

I just like a few pop tarts.

As long as it's real people playing music! I am a rock player and tend to listen to heavier stuff, but I can appreciate well crafted pop and enjoy playing it.
With my main cover band, I am currently learning to play Waterloo (yes the ABBA song). Have a listen to it and tell me if you could sing vocal harmonies and play the bass line at the same time!
The same band is also working up Journey's Separate Ways - also pop, but little heavier (and easier)

I have a sub gig coming up with a heavy rock band playing originals and another 2 gigs with a band that plays Bossa Nova/R&B.

Much to girly for you, think how embarrassed you’ll be walking on stage with that strapped to your neck. Ship it out to me and save yourself a whole lot of matching colour face time :)

LOL - speaking of throwin the goat, this band is to Metal as Britney Spears is to Rock...

wow... um... wutnahell am I supposed to do with that???

The metal was super catchy & aggressive... the choreographed Kewpie dolls reminded me of the epic lapse in the judgement of pop culture known as "Kesha".

It's a mash made in hell:rollno:

And a neck repair..

The neck isn’t broken, or even cracked really. It’s like the fretboard has been popped up loose from the neck. The neck is solid as a rock. The fretboard is sitting down flush with the neck, but it cracked the finish where they meet. If I pull back on the headstock, the gap gets a little wider, so I’d feel better about it to have it fixed right.

Oooh excessively oily Rosewood fret board causing the glue not to stick, will need a new fret board too, that’s going to be very expensive. Save yourself while you can, ship it straight out to me, I’ll fix it free of charge in exchange for a free lifetime trial:)
