Thunderbird Club

Hold on, I have a feeling Jeff knows...

BOOM!

Yeah, they’re spendy for sure. I have no regrets though. Really great pickups. I also love the Thunderbucker Ranch pickups a whole lot. Never tried Duncan’s, but have heard some good clips. Lulls are way above my pay grade. A buddy of mine may be coming out with some. Looking forward to trying those
Yeah, I've heard great things about them. Seems like anything he touches turns to gold. Guitarists around here rave about them as well. I have a set of Thunderbuckers 66s and am really pleased with them. Great pickups.
Never seen or heard a Lull bucker in person but would love too.

Urban Dictionary: throw the goat

Yeah... Do people really do that for Britney Spears?!

As a Capricorn I object !

Some can't get past genre, but I firmly believe that a good song is a good song, regardless of genre.

Look at some of the covers that have been done of pop tunes. For example:

Duran Duran did covers of old Motown songs.

And this is precisely how we got the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin...

Perhaps it is the old fart in me coming out (or maybe just another way that I am different), but I care little about genre these days. I just look for good songs.

I like covers as well. Bluegrass AC/DC; Red Army Choir Rolling Stones. Stuff like that

Another weird thing about this 2018 Bright Cherry Thunderbird. On Gibson’s website and other retail websites they describe it as having “coil tapping” capabilities. I pulled the snot out of all the pot knobs, and they didn’t do anything. Anyone know what the real scoop is? Does it or does it not have coil tap?
I'm prone to believe that it's bad intel on the website. If you look at the website description of the Epiphone Thunderbird Vintage Pro, it says it has a 3 way toggle switch for a pickup selector. Looks like they're not overly concerned about accuracy:meh:

Is there a chance you have your bands mixed up? To the best of my knowledge, FREE! haven't played together since '73...

Saw Kossoff play his next to last show March '76 at The Starwood two nights before he died on the redeye to NYC.

I agree. Not all retailers have that in the description. What the heck, you’d think they’d have a little pride in at least describing their products accurately.

Remove the control cover on the back of the bass. If the volume pots only have three lugs then you ain't got no coil tap pots.

Oh... that's cool! Hell, I'd go see that show! Does Bad Co. have all it's original members?
No, Boz Burrel been dead for awhile now..
