wow... um... wutnahell am I supposed to do with that???

The metal was super catchy & aggressive... the choreographed Kewpie dolls reminded me of the epic lapse in the judgement of pop culture known as "Kesha".

It's a mash made in hell:rollno:
Exactly! Full on goat-horn-hell-mash-tweens destroying the next generations concept of Heavy Metal music. Complete with a very competent band and a bass player sportin a 6 string jazz bass with a Humbucker at the bridge, split P In the sweet spot, and maybe some other type of pickup over that. Heck, they even have a mosh pit in full swing at their stadium size event....

Makes me wonder why I even bother playing.:rollno:
Sure, there's tons of talent there, but how can something so left field pull in a crowd that size and afford the expenses associated with a venue like that. Paint me jealous of (of all things) the success of three little twelve year old girls and their back up band.:banghead:
:bored:I want my rock and roll back!:crying:

As long as it's real people playing music! I am a rock player and tend to listen to heavier stuff, but I can appreciate well crafted pop and enjoy playing it.
With my main cover band, I am currently learning to play Waterloo (yes the ABBA song). Have a listen to it and tell me if you could sing vocal harmonies and play the bass line at the same time!
The same band is also working up Journey's Separate Ways - also pop, but little heavier (and easier)

I have a sub gig coming up with a heavy rock band playing originals and another 2 gigs with a band that plays Bossa Nova/R&B.
ABBA's harmonies were always fantastic-good luck trying to play And sing their stuff. At least yer not gonna be bored playing the same old stuff every time. That's part of why I play in a concert band, a big band and our 3-4 piece rock group(how many pieces determined by the $).

Totally agree. I wouldn't listen to ABBA for the sake of it but we do a couple of numbers in my corporate band and all I can think is; thank god we have four solo singers. I don't sing but if I did, I could not imagine trying to play and sing the parts simultaneously..

What pickups are those?

Hold on, I have a feeling Jeff knows...

I'm sure Duke-o won't mind me answering that. We both have them, Lollars. Bylar does as well.

BOOM!

These here huh? Not cheap..

Yeah, they’re spendy for sure. I have no regrets though. Really great pickups. I also love the Thunderbucker Ranch pickups a whole lot. Never tried Duncan’s, but have heard some good clips. Lulls are way above my pay grade. A buddy of mine may be coming out with some. Looking forward to trying those
