One of the attending doctors, studying the results of head trauma, concluded that dispatch riders might want some head protection. So not so much laws as the implementation of safety equipment.

I was thinking of trying one of those Traynors. What didn't work for you?

It sure didn't sound like the Hiwatt for starters, it ran out of clean headroom in the band situation pretty quickly.

I've seen that formation out here in CA. The F-16 looks like it's about to stall lol!

Thanks. I wish. Suffice it to say that talented singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega turned 59 today. I’m older than her.

Every time I see posts about the old ACC amps, I want one. Totally impractical for my situation, but still...

    You are a fortunate man.

  7. I put that bass together out of parts to have a Pbass with Labella flats. (Sometimes that’s the right bass for the gig) The bridge is standard Squier. The neck is a Squier P that I reshaped into a J. The QP gives it a little more edge when you dig in or play with a pick.
I do have a Badass II on my JBass. The guitarfetish body is so light, it needed the extra mass for balance.

  8. I was looking at Krist Novoselic’s Hiwatt just yesterday in the the MOPOP.

  10. As long as we are discussing FSOs...

My local L&M has an Indonesian Telecaster bass. I don't know much about them to know if it is a good deal at $300. But it is light and has a nice neck on it. But, it isn't an instrument I need. So it sits there waiting for an owner.

  12. A bass with a nice neck is usually worth $300, but if it doesn’t make sense for you, let it wait for it’s real owner.
(I realize this goes against the usual Talkbass advice, but this is the Tbird club)

There is a small Lighting presence in the household. First a early 70's Matchbox Lightning made in England, second a 1/72 Arfix kit. Almost came home with a 1/32 scale Aifix Lighting last week. 20180711_182848. 20180711_183038.

This one's really nice. My favorite kit manufacturer...too bad you can't get the Jetex engines for it anymore...
Their Fairey Swordfish is on my bucket list...

I don’t claim to know much about military aircraft. I know just a very little bit about civil aircraft. Mainly the usual 727 to 777. But this is one monster of a bird. Always loved the look of The Vulcan.

I was reading up on that. Read somewhere, someone is trying, or has restored one back to flying.
Not 100% sure about that though.
