Really? I didn't know that, I know helmets weren't made compulsory until the mid 70s here but what laws were before then I don't know. We went to the crash site as a small pilgrimage, there was a plaque where he ended up off road and a memorial just on the road along with a story of a conspiracy involving a black car that was never seen again but that sounds like shyte from china (far fetched)

Mike Lull lent me his Hiwatt a few years back, I don't generally get all juiced up over amps but this was quite the exception, it really sounded fantastic - I hated to give it back to him, but I really didn't have the $$$ at the time.

It sure didn't sound like the Hiwatt for starters, it ran out of clean headroom in the band situation pretty quickly.

Bet the Hurricane was pushin' it to keep up! We have a flight at some of our airshows w/ a P51, F86, and a F16 fly by in formation. Too cool!

I've seen that formation out here in CA. The F-16 looks like it's about to stall lol!

Do you have the standard bridge too? I'm over the moon with my Hipshot, I've swapped it out a couple of times since I first fitted it to check how much it did as I fitted it and the QPs at the same time initially

I put that bass together out of parts to have a Pbass with Labella flats. (Sometimes that’s the right bass for the gig) The bridge is standard Squier. The neck is a Squier P that I reshaped into a J. The QP gives it a little more edge when you dig in or play with a pick.
I do have a Badass II on my JBass. The guitarfetish body is so light, it needed the extra mass for balance.

I was looking at Krist Novoselic’s Hiwatt just yesterday in the the MOPOP.

What plane would that be? If it were just the one I would have a shiny English electric Lighting which was one of the most awe inspiring things of my childhood living at the end of the runway at an RAF base (Valley). If I could have two then a Sea Harrier as well for being the most welcome sight in the world when they were working

My local L&M has an Indonesian Telecaster bass. I don't know much about them to know if it is a good deal at $300. But it is light and has a nice neck on it. But, it isn't an instrument I need. So it sits there waiting for an owner.

Moderately more seriously, the British Empire brought about the near universality of the English language and it's use in the USA has made it the global language of commerce. Were it not for those two things, we might all be talking either French or Dutch (perhaps both). But I think we can all agree upon our relief that Esperanto never gained any traction.

A bass with a nice neck is usually worth $300, but if it doesn’t make sense for you, let it wait for it’s real owner.

Bernie Utz, the finest place in Seattle to buy a hat, closed recently. They had been there for generations, but rents, development, and changing tastes brought them to an end. I have a hat that I roll up and carry with me in a backpack sometimes that I got from there. It's like a really big fedora or a small-ish cowboy hat that's floppy instead of stylized.

Similar to this? And do they work well?

This one's really nice. My favorite kit manufacturer...too bad you can't get the Jetex engines for it anymore...

I don’t claim to know much about military aircraft. I know just a very little bit about civil aircraft. Mainly the usual 727 to 777. But this is one monster of a bird. Always loved the look of The Vulcan.
