Thanks for the replies, I think I’ll switch to having the 90 degree plug at the bass end. For the Thunderbirds anyway. 
I’m hanging around thinking about finding a croissant and cafe au lait in the morning and will salute my dear departed Mum.
Meanwhile I’m finishing off the last of the Countdown specials. 1977 today, which turns out is a 2 Thunderbird year.
AC/DC Dog eat Dog with Mark Evans hidden in smoke/fog, probably a sign of his coming departure. You could see a T’Bird but couldn’t really see who was wielding it. Probably his Greco I guess.
Skyhooks Party to End All Parties. I don’t remember ever seeing Greg Macainsh play a T’bird, but there he is. He usually had 7enders and a Ripper.
This is my favourite of his 7enders
The detail work is a bit unclear, probably for the best. As a 16yo lad my mates and I were impressed.
Edit: tried to get some Skyhooks T’Bird pics off the tv. Not great.
Any ideas? Did the 70s versions come as II’s ? Or his his hand covering the other pickup? Is there a chrome pickup cover ?

The only thing shorter than that would be my Rheem* keyboard bass-or the uke bass(*same company that makes a/c's) I'll shoot a pic when I get home.

There's so much wrong with that one that I really like it. Too bad about the pickups. Nasal and whiny isn't my thing. For the price, somebody else can solve that problem.

That's a nice straight burnout, especially with both wheels spinning. If I did that, it would look like a pair of snakes that had somebody stepping on their tails for most of its length, not just the launch end. I do those better on the bike.
I'm guessing he probably started with a brake-torque and then feathered the brake till he was off it.
Doh! I was looking at a ‘64 Baracuda the other day.
My brain mixes things up like a Cusinart.
I think someone got mixed up about what corner to put the controls in.
...ahh, the good old days of skinny tires, a light rear end, and high torque! Great fun in a straight line. I'd guess the stock rear tires on that Charger were the same or narrower than 70 series tires.
Now days Dodge is sporting 355mm wide tires on the Viper, but with 645 hp they kinda have to.
Line-Lock… locks the front brakes via momentary switch. As soon as it started to spin I let go of the brakes.
It’s hard to tell but the first gen chargers are nearly twice as long as the first gen Barracudas
That burnout was achieved with my 440 equipped Satellite… it has 10.5” drag radials… a bit skinny for my liking but still rated for 500+hp
The Charger would never be able to do that kinda burnout.

You need to tub that Satellite or at least put some wider competition tires in the rear. A drag radial with a 10.5 inch cross section is something like a 255 IIRC. Heck, the street tires on my Cayman are 305s (unfortunately my HP and torque are far less than your 440).
