That's good, too. The other idea that I thought would work is to have a completely undecorated fretboard and have the dragon inlaid into a pickguard of some kind. Shiny, of course. And, I forgot to mention that all hardware has to be chrome.

I'm not so sure about that one. I probably wouldn't curve the back like that. When I play, I tend to wave the bass around a bit, and a curve like that would make it hang up. It would also fight geometry when you have the headstock rotated up toward the ceiling.

That is exaggerated just to show you what I mean, realistically it would be 1/4" - 1/2" maximum

Just back from the hospital, I have torn a tendon so it's feet up for a while and no workshop I might try and rig up some sort of low bench in the garden when it feels a little better so at least I can do a little work. Another week and I could have been spraying which is time spent waiting for paint to dry, feet up would have been ideal then

Apparently, I have no recollection of hurting it at all, it was a little sore in the mornings on the last couple of days but just a short walk made it feel OK. It was like that all this week too until Saturday when it hurt all day and then yesterday it must have just given up or something. Definitely going soft in my old age

Sorry to hear it. How did they arrive at this diagnosis? Just a manual examination or MRI? Where is the pain concentrated?

They prodded about then did a soft tissue x ray and sent me home with a pair of crutches

Brittle, not soft. It's all that calcium, or something.

And, we can go to That Sucks, with the confusing word with a C and a U inserted in between "The" and "Sucks" again.

I love that idea. Kinda like Spector. Very comfortable.
I would rethink the truss rod idea. The wheel at the heel type sounds great on paper but can be a pain to adjust sometimes requiring string removal..

We could flatten out the wing tips a bit too so the back has more of a feeling of being flat, I'm just thinking we can save half a pound of weight to open up the world of birds to those wimp like fellows who hate to play anything that weighs more than a pink fluffy toy
