You know, as much as I like the SVT 4PRO, it just looks like total poopie on top of a rugged old SVT 810AV. Absolutely KILLING my vibe.

The good news is... I don't see anything wrong with it that a carefully selected, well placed decal or two can't fix:D :bassist:

No no guys, the torn Tolex IS NOT A PROBLEM!! Actually I dig it!! It’s the rack mount 4PRO that is just MAJOR out of place. It doesn’t even want to sit stable on top of the cab. I’m gonna have to put some damn feet on the bottom to match the cups on the cab to feel safe about it. My band has a big show Saturday, and I’m in stress mode. Plus, the Day Glo Bird isn’t done yet, and I really wanted to play it for this show. All in all, I’m a pretty grumpy old man at the moment. I should have just bought an SVT CL and been freaking done with it.

Well I see your point but trust me no one in the audience is going to notice or care. Play loud have fun, spring for a vintage SVT down the road.

I think ya read me wrong. I was talking about putting a sticker or two on that new lookin' head. I figger that oughta help ya get back some of that dirty rock & roll "garage-shiek":thumbsup:

The whole aesthetic is off. Has been since I put the rug together. I bought the cab for a song. $300. It’s been hauled all over creation, but the guy that bought it new was a country player who never cranked it, and basically only played it for a year he was on tour. It’s th good plywood one too, not the particle board version. Then I wanted a legit SVT Head, but I found a great deal on this SLM era 4 PRO. My drummer had one some time back and really praised it, so I bought it. I like the tone and power, but damn if I don’t hate the way it looks on this cool old cab.

Cover the rack case in shag carpeting... a lewd sticker or two on the amp face... all your shiny new concerns are gone:thumbsup:

All jokes aside, I looked for an enclosure like that. They’re really expensive. Then I thought about building it myself, and then I remembered the time I built a chicken coop, and quickly decided against it. Lol

I’m sure it would. I just really hate to drop any more cheddar at this point. I found a guy that may have done some trading with me. He had an SVT CL only 6 months old. Never had been out of the house. But, it is Chinese made, and that sorta spooked me. I’ve heard some horror stories about the Asian Ampeg stuff.
