Ok guys. I tried those on my P and didn’t care for them. In all honesty, I probabaly didn’t leave them on long enough to give the a real try. Went back to Chromes which are perfect for that bass. I’m sure I still have them (somewhere, I moved all my bass stuff in January) and will give them a shot on the ‘15 Bird, which I call my “all around tone monster.” Thanks for the input.Yup, me too.![]()
@Gaolee Do you have Cobalt flats on your 2015 'bird?Ok guys. I tried those on my P and didn’t care for them. In all honesty, I probabaly didn’t leave them on long enough to give the a real try. Not easy to explain but guh -err-I-nt sort of does it if you say it quickly@Christine how does one pronounce Gerraint ?
Newsreader on my local radio station just said it “Grant” (or close to that).
Not correct I guess
...But I'm currently on Black Beauties.
That’s right, @Gaolee has a ‘15. He is a baseball guy, as well as a Bird guy, so I’ll certainly trust what he says. Thanks Fix.
Thanks Count. Haven’ever tried those...Those are great strings that I bought as a gag. Looking at another set of Cobalt Flats next, but rhe Beauties were just fine. Maybe my fav rounds at this point.
Hey fwiw I'd love to hear about it if you sell your Ric, like if it's down the road apiece. I'm busted now, but things change...Those are good points to consider, because they are a quirky animal indeed. Not sure I’m even totally happy with mine to be honest. It just may go towards a tube amp or a different bass. And they are a try before you buy.

Awesome. Thanks man!Consider yourself first in line Rog.
Keep you posted via pm.
I only use the P pup and I get a decent 60s Jamerson sound-which is what I wanted from it.Haven’t tried one with Chromes. Maybe that’s the way to go. The ashtray is a aunigue look.
Sure you can! We won't tell..I can't post the art here.............exposed female naughty bits.
Naughty's in the eye of the beholder-we won't look.Sure you can! We won't tell..

That would be best case....from the look of the pic I envision this..If you keep leaving those things together like that and you are going to find yourself looking after one of these

Covers or originals? What type of gigs do you play?
I think it would be a lot of fun, but way more fun with an audience!
Edit: we typed at the same time
Excellent! Add some Clash! What NY Dolls do you play? Most underrated, influential, American Band of the seventies, IMO. I hear Thunders every day as he is always on rotation on Little Steven’s SiriusXM station.

Oh yes, drummers....weird bunch they are.....make sure he brings his cymbals and snare..No gigs yet as we are still nailing down a drummer. Had a bit of a false start with the first one and he isn't returning messages so take it he is passing. Another is lined up and super ready to get started so we are supposed to meet him this week. Expecting to play the dive circuit here in Phoenix. There are several places we can play due to knowing people. I really hope we get out of the jam pad!!!
For the Dolls we are only doing Pills and Lonely Planet Boy. We go straight to Lonely Planet Boy at the end of Thunders Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory. Also playing Thunders Chinese Rocks and She's so Untouchable. I listen to the Underground Garage a lot as well!
