If memory serves... after you pass the start/finish line, the front straightaway ends with a long sweeping left that straightens out and elevates as you approach the hairpin left at the top of the corkscrew. I would love to see a photo and/or video of that approach, and I would love to see a shot from the top of the corkscrew, towards the bottom. Video games have gotten pretty impressive with their graphics... but ya don't really get a good sense of how steep of an incline it really is, or how sharp those corners really are...

On Friday the 24th of August I'll be in Chucky's stomping grounds watching a free concert on the Santa Cruz beach. The band is Starship (evolved from the original Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship band) not sure who's even in it these days but it's free, it's on the beach and they'll be playing old Airplane and Starship tunes, how bad can it be.

Starship featuring Mickey Thomas. That's according to their site. They play once or twice a year at Epcot Festivals-usually 2 nights each time.

Next time someone dissapoints you by under delivering, just casually thank them for the effort and say, "It's the least you could do, and I've come to expect that from you". Ha! yeah my 14 year old thinks he knows how to drive a sports car cause he plays Forza Horizon...what a wonderfully silly age..
He did recognize the side roads off Montecatini when we went to Tuscany a couple of years ago... I was blown away!..

Ever put a new set of strings on that the sound immediately just makes you say out loud "Oh, gross!"? That was me with the LaBella 0760M's 20 minutes ago. I'll be switching them to my P in a little while. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I love them on my MIM Jazz, but hate them on my TBird.

I love them on my Pbass and they work really well on my Casady. I’m thinking of getting flats for my VP so I can take it out on R&B/soul gigs. Maybe I’ll go with Chromes...

Speaking of which, we finally have all the trip plans finalized for our Santa Cruz and Monterey visit in August. The wife and I are traveling with two other Porsche Club couples (one of which will be riding with us). Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to fit the HD150 in the Cayenne along with everything else (six sets of golf clubs plus luggage for four people. So I'll have to pass on your outstanding repair offer. Maybe next time we're up your way. If you're band is playing Thurs or Saturday of that week let me know, we might be able to drop in and cheer you on.
