No, I haven't had that experience yet. The closest was waking up in my own bed, with my clothes folded very neatly, all clean, but with sore hands and feet. Beats me what I did.

Actually, the youngest pre grunge gang would have been in their 20's in the 1980's, which means nearly all of them will be 70+ years old 20 years from now, with some in their 80's and even 90's. F course this prediction does not apply to Kieth Richards, who has somehow found the perfect mix of drugs, alcohol and lifestyle needed to keep a person alive forever (although they might not look very alive)...

Pancreatic cancer is a terrible way to go. From diagnosis to death is typically about 6 months and really quite unpleasant.

I had a friend who died from pancreatic cancer. Upon diagnosis, he applied for several credit cards and of course ticked the box for the insurance that would pay the balance in the event of death. Then leased a nice car and drove across the country to say goodbye to all his friends. At the end of the trip, he was too sick to make the drive back, so he parked the car at the airport, flew home, turned the keys over to the dealer and told them where their car was. When told that he couldn't do that, he told them to sue him. He died about 2 weeks later.

That's a good story, though still sad to hear it.
I had a friend go from brain cancer, don't think that was much fun either. We did do one last gig together, in our surf/ska band. We lit the place...

Thanks for the tip Fix. I got a bit excited as that is close to me and the buy it now price didn’t seem out of line. I did a bit of research. That looks to be from the later series acc amps that the GC owned acoustic copied the look of. It is a guitar head, although some bassists apparently use it. The 140 was the bass version of it. The cab is a guitar cab with 6 eminence 24 ohm 10s. ACC marketed it to lead guitarists. From the blurry pics it’s hard to tell, but it looks to be in decent shape. I’m no longer excited, but it might make a nice rig for a guitar player looking for an old SS amp. It is said to get pretty loud.
