Both basses are stock.@bassstrangler What pups didja put in that burst?
Occasionally I can't make up my mind so I got a Vintage Pro and a Pro. Can I get a number?

*oops* chrome pups.... Vintage Pro... right (I don't have a lotta checkered flags... but I usually manage to get across the finish line)Both basses are stock.
Actually, I was selling them. I recently had some health problems and missed a few paychecks. I listed more things than needed and luckily the Thunderbirds didn't get any bites. I sold the last of the Precisions I had listed tonight and thankfully was able to keep the Birds. You bought those of Phx Craigslist? You should have gone for the trifecta and bought the white Classic Pro as well.
Nice Birds you have there!!!
While I am a die hard Tbird guy, I’m also one who believes there is a place for a nice Pbass with Chromes. Hope you were able to keep one.Actually, I was selling them. Oh yeah, I actually kept four and a P/J. I'm in no danger of running out yet. I hadn't had the Thunderbirds that long and wasn't attached to them, now I can get acquainted and pull them out of the cases and give them the play they deserve. While I am a die hard Tbird guy, I’m also one who believes there is a place for a nice Pbass with Chromes. It can be. Blackface or Blonde (if you are lucky) is what you really want. Any silver face stuff came with CBS when they decided to "clean up" the sound of Fenders by reducing the gain structure and other things. The result was very stiff sterile sounding amps..How can you tell which circuitry? Is it a silver face / black face thing?
When I was working at Melton's Stereo & HiFi (Atl, 1978), at the end of a frustrating day, I'd lock the doors, go down to the high end room and crank the slow version of this off the live album at many, many watts through heavily EQ-d Bose 901s. After 2-3 times through that, I was ready for anything. Nice, hypnotic bass!
Now yer talkin'!!
Totally agree. Silverface heads work well for bass imho..Actually, a silverface Twin Reverb is just the ticket if you want loud clean tone with some bottom end. Other than that, though, I'd basically look for a cheap silverface and mod it to blackface specs- Philistine that I am.
Grey Goose?..Part of this is to continue drinking clear liquids. Unfortunately, beer and single malt didn't make the list.![]()
I always assumed it was a flanger, but, here it is, from the horses' mouth. You can't beat Gibson buckers into Dual Showmans. Always wondered about the effect on that bass..chorus?..
Way cool. thanksI always assumed it was a flanger, but, here it is, from the horses' mouth.
Rob Grange's tone on 'Stranglehold'
Well....Bummer!Fellow Thunderbirders: If I fail to quickly respond to anything directed my way, I'm in the early stages of prep for tomorrow's colonoscopy so I may be otherwise occupied.![]()
It's a terrible thing apparently yes. I remember about 25 years ago, a man who lived a couple of houses away had it, you could hear him screaming from our house occasionally, not good.Pancreatic cancer is a terrible way to go. From diagnosis to death is typically about 6 months and really quite unpleasant.
I had a friend who died from pancreatic cancer. Upon diagnosis, he applied for several credit cards and of course ticked the box for the insurance that would pay the balance in the event of death. Then leased a nice car and drove across the country to say goodbye to all his friends. At the end of the trip, he was too sick to make the drive back, so he parked the car at the airport, flew home, turned the keys over to the dealer and told them where their car was. When told that he couldn't do that, he told them to sue him. He died about 2 weeks later.
We've heard this beforeCoulda been worse, you weren't surrounded by cold, half eaten fried chicken with your undies around your ankles.![]()
There is some story to this
PMSL!!Keith Richards has 5 children; 3 daughters and 2 sons. When they die, Keith will get everything.

As long as they were theseThe legend of member #62 - the Queen can't quite remember who it is and who was eating the chicken. Worse, she isn't sure who's undies were around her ankles.
