In reference to my earlier Firebird joke, I actually looked online for a used one. Interesting 'Firebird' here...

Perhaps some of our southern hemisphere members know a thing or two about decks.

If I buy it, I might just take you up on that!If you were around here, I'd cut you a great deal to work on that. Like just parts. Might have to keep it an extra week to test it thoroughly...
Hey! That's my thing!Maybe I should buy me a Firebird to go with the Tbird?![]()
When I was working at Melton's Stereo & HiFi (Atl, 1978), at the end of a frustrating day, I'd lock the doors, go down to the high end room and crank the slow version of this off the live album at many, many watts through heavily EQ-d Bose 901s. After 2-3 times through that, I was ready for anything. Nice, hypnotic bass!
I had a NR Firebird years ago I bought as a match to my NR TBird. I don't play guitar! I traded it for some other piece of equipment(don't remember what)15 or so years ago. Wish I'd kept it............Hey! That's my thing!

This picture makes it look much nicer than it is. Tour manager said “it beats a night off,” but I’m not so sure. Then again, I’ve had all kinds of fun in dumps like this![]()
But yer a fer piece from Texas...If I buy it, I might just take you up on that!
... and I'll give it an extra week... you now, to be sure![]()
I love how compact the band's setup is!![]()
All I know is... it takes a certain amount of moxie to be comfortable playin' such an honest, "no smoke & mirrors" show... regardless of genre. If I were to walk into a venue & see a stage setup like that... my first thought would be, "F*ck yeah!"We brought so much Merch and no trailer...didn’t have much choice but to keep it compact. Small kit, two teles, an AC30, and my humble little rig![]()
This is the set up for our group's next gig. To quote REM, "that's me in the corner"w/ my JBL EON one PA to my left. I'm using a Rumble 40 bass amp, which is behind me, mic stand in front of me. Drummer took the pic.All I know is... it takes a certain amount of moxie to be comfortable playin' such an honest, "no smoke & mirrors" show... regardless of genre. If I were to walk into a venue & see a stage setup like that... my first thought would be, "F*ck yeah!"![]()
For sure! You should be able to get it done with a basic setup. All I know is... it takes a certain amount of moxie to be comfortable playin' such an honest, "no smoke & mirrors" show... regardless of genre. If I were to walk into a venue & see a stage setup like that... my first thought would be, "F*ck yeah!"![]()
