Yup, that's factory-and define"normal"<Edit> there's a 4 string sunburst on reverb right now and another in blue at Ash Music(?) (Googled Epiphone non-reverse Thunderbird)

I know that I took a beating here when I mentioned that I'd like to see a PJ Tbird. I didn't realize that it was a real thing until I saw this:

Has anyone here got any experience with the Schecter Sixx bass? Just curious if the PJ pups are standard size and can be replaced with better ones, etc. It looks like it might make an interesting project platform... I'd been considering a Fenderbird project anyway but to get to incorporate a set of G&L SB-2 PJ pups without having to fill and rout to try to make the PJ's fit would be awesome!

Of course the P/J thang is as valid as anyone else's idea... just not for me. I'd put T-bird pups in a 7ender bass, but never the other way around. That's just me & my personal preference. IMHO... that's akin to putting a Subaru engine in a Ferrari. That's not a disparaging remark about Subaru. Hell... it'd have killer fuel economy and last forever... but I'd really rather have the Ferrari engine in my Ferrari

I had originally planned to put(OK, Have put) TBird pups on it-for $400 plus. For $30 a set of EB Cobalt flats made all the difference.

To me it's all good! I love the Tbird aesthetics, especially with chrome/nickel, but I can rock a PJ. I have an 80's Jazz Bass Special that's a great bass.

Taking a beating is just fine. My P-Bird is a Precision in all but shape. It means I don't have to pull out a 7ender when I want that specific sound. I actually like the way a Precision sounds, too.

I did but that's an easy one to mess with because you have the pickguard to hide the routing. Problem is, I just can't get past the NR look... I'm just not a fan

I'll see if anyone can speak to the Sixx bass ... if not, I guess I'll have to have someone make me a Tbird body with PJ routing already done... some kind of luthier type... oh dang... she's already making 3 basses at once already
