You got mad skills with a camera dude
They're fretboard decalsCan't say that I care for what he did to the neck...…...The rest is cool though.
That Rex 5 Pro is a pretty sweet deal on a killer bass that isn't made anymore. Three piece maple neck through with maple wings and an active preamp to die for. Exceptionally well built. Would be the perfect stable mate to an Eppi VP. I have the holoflash version and love it.

I haven't seen anything like that but it sure would be nice to have.Is there not a list, or a link floating around TB of all the Epiphone T-bird releases??
I thought i came across not too long ago (possibly in this very thread!)
Maybe even including a summary of characteristics, reviews, tonal impressions, etc.
I know there's a few threads like 'Vintage Pro VS the Pro Vintage'and various one vs one comparisons, but im looking for something a bit more period complete without being too technical, i suppose.
Can somebody point me to it, or did i just imagine it?![]()
It's a shame we cant have like a sticky area at the beginning of this thread where stuff like that could be posted where it is easy to find. Then again it's good that someone regurgitates the same thing over again sometime later as we grow more familiar sometimes too as we notice new stuff etc.
I didn’t know there was one!Actually, the Talkbass Wiki would be the place to do that.

So here’s a vid of Jo with her ‘76 doing, “Hell is for Children” at a music festival where we met and I got to hear her band. The bass sounds awesome and she’s a really nice person as are her band mates. Dave the guitarist is her husband and their friend the drummer, Mark was nice as well.
I originally shot her performance from the band’s introduction on stage and right into their first song, Zeppelin’s, “Rock ‘n Roll” but I cut it from the upload cause it wasn’t good at all. The bass sounded good but the cover wasn’t.
Anyway, here’s some TBird goodness for ya’!
And maintaining that bass line when the rest of the band goes off on that downward chord progression. Easy to lose your place. I love Zep but don’t feel it’s good bar music. Stones gets em dancingOur (female) lead singer did a great job on it - wasn't even sure she'd be interested but when she'd hit that high note it always sent shivers up my back! As you pointed out, it's not really that difficult to play - the hard part is getting it to swing as a band.
Our thread has its own personal diva of alternative factsI didn’t know there was one!
Actually I like finding information here, I can ask a question and get ten different answers then choose the one I like![]()

That's what I like, I can choose my own right then I can blame everyone elseOur thread has its own personal diva of alternative facts![]()
Or more truthfully, I can only blame myself As stated by someone that looks an awful lot like our our @Count Bassie :That's what I like, I can choose my own right then I can blame everyone elseOr more truthfully, I can only blame myself

That sounds great to me. I can visualize it, but what I visualize might not be correct. Some thoughts on the new bird I'm building for myself, it will probably be having a Satinwood fretboard (think ancient maple with aged nitro for colour). I want a transparent red finish on the front but I've been thinking maybe I could veneer the fronts of the body in some fort of quilted Maple then rather than bind them I could blend them into the rounding over then do a candy apple over the sides and maybe the back but over gold not silver do it's a sort of candy apple burst. How does that sound? I'm actually having a lot of difficulty visualising it, I can usually see these things clearly
It does when the whole place is lit on fire, as it apparently is right now. Other times? Who knows! It gets warm enough to go barefoot in Canada?
Who knew?![]()
