Could be-silks are the right color. Strings should feel smooth. Hard to tell in pic, but that looks like what's on my NR.

Hello, Thunderbird Club,
I know it's been a while since I posted but I haven't had a lot of T'bird stuff happening..
But, now my tech is building me a custom non-reverse 'bird, with all sorts of "accessories"
I can't wait to see it in about a month or so, but in the meantime, I am trying to find a hard shell case for it. I don't need a flight/road case, but something for local transport.
Does anyone make a case that would fit something like that? I don't have the exact dimensions of it yet, but maybe y'all have a few ideas to start.
Thanks in advance
Soooooo, it saddens me that we've lost @Christine. I, like I'm sure many here, sent her a PM and got nothing back. I know this thread isn't supposed to be a therapy session but I would have liked the opportunity for us to have her reconsider, in the least, staying in our "little world" that is the Thunderbird Club, an open and accepting safe place.
Subject: pickup springs
I've always used springs with guitar pickups. Here I see occasional references to foam, but not to springs. I know that parts vendors sell "bass pickup springs". Do Thunderbirds not typically have springs? If they have then, what size is normal? If not, what sort of foam should I look for? (The V that I bought recently desperately needs something, but I haven't pulled it apart yet.)
Well said Larry.
Any of the black soapbar TB Plus pickups I have removed had cone-shaped springs with the larger part up against the bottom of the pickup. There may be foam in some Thunderbirds, but not any that I own.
I have a '67 NR that is 52" long. Most commercial cases are 48''-or less. Find out from your tech what the OAL will be. Or go short(er) scale-32" instead of 34".Hello, Thunderbird Club,
