Thunderbird Club

I did that with a similar keyboard case/bag, but it's heavy(25+ lbs w/o bass)and awkward.

I wondered how easy it would be to carry. That was the drawback to the large Coffin Case I had. Long and hard (Hey Now!!) to fir in a car or to carry.

Of course it did, but it got vetoed for cheesiness.

It is a once a year song. Around the same cheeziness as "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause" or "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree". For once a year, it can be hauled out. And the audience would love it if you celebrate the cheeziness and have fun with it; do a metal, bluegrass, or jazz version.

Separately, I think that 21st Century Schizoid man qualifies as a Halloween song...

I get that the audience would like Monster Mash.
There is always a balance of cheese vs quality to be considered when choosing songs for a cover band.
In this case our guitarist doesn’t want to play it so I’ll respect that. If there’s something I can’t stomach playing in the future, I can then invoke my cheese veto.

At my cover band’s practice last night we were deciding on tunes for our upcoming Halloween pub gig:
...BORIS THE SPIDER!!! :hyper: I suggested this one half-joking, but looks like I’ll be turning up the tone, playing with a pick and singing!
I already know the words (what bass playing Who fan doesn’t?)
I just need to get an octave down effect on my vocals for the chorus - any ideas?

I love this song! When the Ox started it on stage at the Omni in Atlanta in '73, I jumped up and down and screamed just as loudly as when they played the song they wrote about my seeing eye dog.

Cheeto.
