I have never tried one, however, it is "limited stock available in select stores only" or something to that effect. That means that it is discontinued - just selling off what is left in inventory.

I can highly recommend this bag. My Dingwall Dbird came in one. The regular bags were backordered, so they purchased this one so my bass would ship to me. It is quite a nice bag. Well padded, fits the bass great, pretty roomy front pocket.

One of my first basses was a 80 or 81 L1000. Bought it new and loved it at the time...kinda want another, but I’m not sure I’d feel the same way now that I did then

My friend Reid (a guitarist and a G&L guy) has a black early 80's L-1000 and I played it and it is a great playing/sounding bass!

I was not aware that FL was not a state. I thought only VA, KY, MA, and PA were the only ones that are not states.
If someone wants to get hold of one from L&M, they need only go to their local L&M and ask them to get it in for them. For those without a local L&M (those in the 46 states of the US or the 4 commonwealths), my suggestions are to try buying online and failing that, call one of the stores that shows inventory.

I bought this one from the original owner about 8 yeas ago. Couldn't find an L-2000 so he had the extra pickup added as soon as he bought it. Ebony board.

It’s over $100 now. Still a good deal.
I bought my Goth Tbird for $50 off CL. It came with Loxx straplocks, roadrunner gig bag and a couch strap. Those theee accessories alone are well over $50. The bass had a broken string but I restrung it with labella black tape-wounds anyway. After a setup, I’ve been rocking it’s since.
If anyone here has gotten a better deal on their bird, I want to hear about it!
Oh, I also got a Boss NS2 for $20 in the same deal.
