Just got the Vintage Pro in, and did a (very short) test run with one of my amps, and the outlook is great! It wasn't loud enough to know if boominess will be a problem in a band setting, but it had some great bite to it through my Orange OB1. No build issues that I can see so far, and it plays really fast with great action. Plus, the black matches my SG/EB3 bass, though I'm tempted to replace the white pickguard with a black one. Because I'm sad, or something.

Falcons? The early series almost broke Ford Australia with warranty claims. Suspension ball joints etc.being shopping car spec rather than bad road family car spec. They ended up spending a heap on a re-specification and by about 65 (XP series?) had a good car (eg suitable for our conditions). They looked much more modern than the Holden and more powerful as well at first. (The Valiant swamped them both for power when it arrived).
Ford did a huge reliability run (so many miles in so many hours) for publicity in the XP. They lost a few along the way but 1 car made it and from there on the reputation improved. I think by the late 60s - 70 we went our own way on Falcon, styled differently to the US - and kept it going a lot longer.

I have owned 2 Falcons. My wife named them ‘the first’ & ‘the last’.

Now Im working two straight weeks 12 hours a day in a Nuclear energy plant. Haven't been able to play a lick lol. Things should be slowing down for the winter or for at least a couple months. Oh btw for those who remember Ol Blu, I did finally get her back with Gibson pups with nickel covers, she looks real nice. Also recently found a Cardnal Red Epi bird on craigs list that I picked up for less than the price of a new case and yes she came with a practically new case, she's impeccable. I don't think she ever was played so its like new.

Yes indeed. The interceptor was a XB Falcon hardtop (similar styling to a Mach 1 Mustang).
The others were mainly XB Falcons (73/74) and I think an XA (71-73) (years approx).

The Nightrider had a HQ Monaro (my fave) coulda cried when it was destroyed
