Do it before @JIO does! Or at least message him so you don't bid each other up.
I would try to save the neck because i like that headstock, but the neck could very well be crap. If so that body would make a cool fenderbird.
I would just put a regular F type bridge on it and hide it under the cover.

Saw it a couple days ago - buying these 60's ss basses on-line can be iffy. For me it a combination of what it is/do I like it, what condition it's in/what would I have to do to get it playable, and if what they are asking for it is something I can justify spending. My first bass was a "Stadium" which was also badged "St George" (and St George basses were also badged Teisco). I've yet to see one like mine for sale, but if I did I would have to consider it. The Firebird/T-bird body shape was not common amongst the many and varied styles that were produced in Japan in the 60's, but as all major brands were referenced in their designs - some were produced.

That's inspiring. I have a pair of bass gold foil pickups from the '60s floating around that should go into something or another one of these days.

I have these Tiesco singles in a few basses. (with 500k pots) and they are big, loud pu's that sound great. They are considered the most famous of all the Teisco pu's. (and there were a lot!)

I'll have to look at the foils I have. I believe they have screens, but I don't remember. I'm about 90% sure they don't look like those.

Any pu referred to as 'gold foil' has slots in the chrome cover with the foil showing. Guitarist love them but I haven't tried the bass version.

That's what they are. They may be foils with staples as well, but I don't remember. They may have come from a knock-off Hoffner. I don't have any reliable information about them. A friend who is a non-bass playing guitarist had them in his parts drawer and gave them to me to put in my parts drawer. Eventually, everything in the parts drawer will get used (yeah, right...)
