Thunderbird Club

I've always wanted an ashdown rootmaster amp, played through a few evo series & man they sound just sweet!!

But after finding my peavey century head at a pawnshop & my swr 410 goliath used for dirt cheap altogether, i've never went back. In fact i found another peavey head, & i picked up a GK 400RB too just as a "newer" solid state amp. But i might sell that one soon, it's nice & all - but my sound is from the Peavey for sure.
the Goliath helps beaucoup..

not really worried as I service this stuff. that said, i always bring a backup. having an amp fail at a gig svcks in the biggest way even if you have a backup....

In my gigging days, i never had a rig, (insert ehem), go down on me.
And i typically was using a Magnavox era SVT, that already had issues.
I had back-ups, but didn't bring them. My confidence level may have been blown up just a little to much.

Local seller is asking 275 for an active trans black Epi TB Pro. Looks to be in great condition but no case. I've already got a TB case for playing out. I've heard they really only resemble TBs in looks only, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for me. Worth it?
It's a good chassis, nice construction. I'd do it.

I've only had one amp quit on me on a gig. After swapping cables and doing some other stuff, I turned it off-then turned it back on. Worked perfectly the rest of the night.

Ok, I did it. And the black and white polka dots are for @TBird1958.

So they're more like rounded squares then dots.

Well.... I think that could be arranged.... best I could arrange on short notice...., her skimpy silk and stilettos aren’t here, don’t drink or smoke anymore though and the walls are wooden not the floors. Your vision was very close. I’m a pretty gnarly looking biker dude. Long hair and beard as long as my forearm. Impressive for a young guy. I always make my birthdate 06/06/66.... Im 20 years younger. Notice he eye the last owner painted on there. I’ll take some more picsView attachment 3234512
That bird pic is worth a thousand words! Dude, take up photography as a hobby, you have an outstanding sense of composition, balance and lighting. Oh, and don't look now but there's a B cup on your E string, or is that some new form of drop D tuning.:D

Ok everybody, the December challenge is on - flip us your best bird shot. Let's take 2018 out with a bang!

sometimes they overheat and go into thermal shutdown. once cool they'll work fine again.

You left the dry cleaning tag on your bra...

Yep. You may or may not like the electronics (I didn't). The bridge, tuners, and of course the body and neck are all good. I thought the frets were too tall as well. You may like them.
