I don't know if Im being clear or not.

The input jack I have has a nut on the inside, and a nut on the outside, and those can be tightened, but the whole jack itself just rotates freely in it's hole.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's not good.

I had a temporary crown done in Wednesday morning and while I was sitting in the waiting room a woman started lecturing the receptionist because a brochure had a picture of a white couple. “You are saying only white people have good teeth!” Or words to that effect.

So how was the receptionist going to fix that? and the girl receptionist looked to be of Pacific Islander descent, so hardly a part of any white male supremacist movement.

I swear that if I take early retirement in the next few years it will have a lot to do with the politically correct BS inflicted on us daily.

I believe the proper response is "oh, I'm sorry, Eff off"

I remember the Dude Pit very well!! It was a lot of fun over there. This club definitely reminds me of the Gibson forum at times.

I’ve seen him with a 335 ish Gibson at times as well. Great player, singer and songwriter.

I still was shocked about Buckingham though.

He did play a 335ish guitar on a song.
Rumor has it that Nix told the band "either Buckingham goes or I go", they apparently felt a guitarist was an easier replacement than a vocalist. The irony is that it was Buckingham that was offered a job with the band when Green left, but he refused to join unless they took his band mate Nix also. And so began the long road of strained relationships in the band. I guess Nix is kinda like Yoko Ono except somewhat attractive and with talent.

Unrelated, but maybe not. The Thunderbird club is bringing me Victoria's Secret ads all of a sudden.

I usually remove the inside nut altogether. Had one bass where the jack was stuck due to both nuts being screwed too tight - never had that problem with any other bass/guitar that had a standard output jack (not the tube style of the thunderbirds, those never give me a problem).

I wouldn't remove the inside nut, it's there to keep the output jack from being yanked clear out of the bass when you remove the instrument cable. It also is there to set the height that you want the jack to extend out from the body. The outside nut keeps the jack from dropping into the body when you insert your instrument cable and also locks everything in place when tightened down.
Two nuts is a good thing.

I wouldn't remove the inside nut, it's there to keep the output jack from being yanked clear out of the bass when you remove the instrument cable. It also is there to set the height that you want the jack to extend out from the body. The outside nut keeps the jack from dropping into the body when you insert your instrument cable and also locks everything in place when tightened down.
Two nuts is a good thing.

I've not had a problem with my output being ripped out of my bass since I pass my cables through my strap to prevent any sort of damage/yank/unwanted motion of the output.

Two nuts IS a good thing . Just IMO, not on a bass' output jack.

Google, Facebook, Twitter, and others install browser apps that remain active after you visit their sites or contact content from their sites (embedded content) that continues to report back what sites you are visiting after leaving. As an experiment, try searching for something strange like 40ft refrigerated shipping containers and see what ads you get... Not only creepy, but rather disturbing knowing that these (even if you have not agreed to terms of service) are tracking you and selling that data. And so for this reason, I have anti-tracking software installed. The happy side effect is that I don't get ads. Every once in a while, a website will not work for me (at all) and rather than disable the software, I just let that website not be part of my digital life as we clearly have different values. This is also why I can't see embedded videos from Facebook.

What’s great about that though is that when your girlfriend or wife is looking up things she likes and wants it does the same thing to her sooooo if you use her phone or computer for even a short period of time..... to look something up randomly....all the ads that pop up are tailored to her.... works for me.

Just be careful because I can see the advertising system getting it wrong from time to time....maybe very wrong with a glitch in probabilities or interpretation by the software they use.

We were under 3/4 when the family was coming back from Newfoundland my twin brothers and I were so hellish that they pulled over SAT US DOWN ON A ROCK AND DROVE AWAY....

We were terrified....they came back but holy hell. Can’t do that today. It’s too bad though because it shut us up really quick and got the point across immediately. Instant realization is priceless.

We all Take Things for Granted because everything is Socially Guaranteed In such a Politically Correct, overbearing Big Brother kind of way. We’re raising such an arrogant, entitled generation of the future. It’s Something I think, historically, only World War can put in check.... the sudden realization of how fragile our sense of Civilization really is... Cvilization is a thin veneer or veil quickly wiped or blown away by so many things it’s scary. That’s globally. On an individual level, the will to Savagery is even more apparent. The minute an individuals Needs are Unmet or their Desire for More Ignites, they Degenerate into Savage Beasts of Survival or Conquest.

World War is a Profiteering Sham of Transnational Corporations with no sense of Nationality nor Morality. Companies that sell Weapons and Materials to both sides, ensuring that all will Impoverish themselves through War until they become too Weak to Stand alone as truly Independent Nations, so that False Democracies can be installed and Dictated by such Transnationally minded individuals. Food is the number one Weapon, then ideology. (Although I think that ideology is number one in many cases because people willingly die for their beliefs but belief systems aren’t viable until the needs of survival are met soooo....) Guns and bombs are toys by comparison. A starved nation is a defenceless one, a dead nation, literally.

Read the MERCHANTS OF GRAIN...perhaps the single most enlightening book I’ve ever read about World War AND GLOBAL POLITICS....even though it’s really only supposed to be about the Global Merchants of Grain. Politics as you know it will go up in smoke to reveal a pretty little Puppet Show that doesn’t make the least bit of difference as whole....globally.

That being said I Long for a World of Post War Minded Citizens. Those who have a deep appreciation and love for the peace and civilization of their nation.

When I watch the documentaries of our history, what the men AND women did for the war efforts....my faith in humanity is restored. It’s a beautiful thing. Sadly it could be expressed and utilized in better ways for humanity as a whole....

we have to go through such metaphorical HELL in order to appreciate HEAVEN.... this generation is convinced that this is HELL and HEAVEN is elsewhere. True recipe for disaster when everyone wants to be somewhere else instead of appreciating where they are.

I know our queen isn’t into Fleetwood Mac, but I’ve been a fan since the late sixties. They played the Santa Barbara County Bowl a lot. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen was them during the Welsh era. I learned to play bass by playing along to the early Peter Green era stuff. McVie is one of my idols. Buckingham is a wizzard on guitar. I’ve seen them three times since Christine returned. Good concerts, but Buckingham seemed to be hogging the stage, almost to the point of being annoying. I’d choose Stevie over him any day.

I don’t remember any radical feminist that early on....high school at least. Craziest one I knew liked to argue with me about how terrible men including myself are.... listen to me challenge her reasonably..... then eventually, sleep with me. I think arguing just got her off. She made some sense for sure but some of it was just wild wild nonesense. Radical Feminism can start to border on Paranoid Schizophrenia... no no no not all men are out to get you....just the ones in the government.... and Walmart

The other thing about that keys/drummer interaction is the drummer and I were schoolmates. We hadn’t seen each other for 35 years or so and he always was the clown in the room.
That keyboard player is going to have to learn to work in a group environment. Some joking, goofing off and laughter is necessary IMO.
For the record I support girl power, equal opportunity and respect for others.
