Now there is one thing i dialed in on the Berg just now, the tweeter. I never use a tweeter.
Well, not so sure the Berg will be going just yet. With the tweet just dialed in ever so slightly, Eeeesh!!!!!!
It's actually a beautiful thing.

There's a side of me that wishes i had 12's again. It was truly glorious through the AV.
As far as comparison goes, it's really apples and oranges the way i'm hearing it. The M6 is so fat and warm while being extremely articulate with gobs of power. The GK700RBii sounds great as well but to my ears doesn't have that mid to upper mid warmth. They both hold their own in what they do. What the GK excels at to my ears is the grind. But with the B7Ku, i can get all that, with the warmth. Plus the Mesa has got all that crazy low end, just like i remember it. Thank goodness for the Broughton. But now i'm all confused about the Berg. I gotta work with this new rig a bit to see if i'm gonna go back to all 12's or not. This sh!t never ends, Does it.

The amp differences you stated are spot on to what my experience is as well. I’ve never tried a Berg like yours, so I can’t really say, but I’d be shocked if it weren’t up to the task. Honestly, the 212AV is the only recent model Ampeg cab I’d consider. I used to use a certain 212 and sold it to a friend in need. Building myself another this year. That and my M9 is terrifying

Most players that swear they ALWAYS hate tweeters haven’t heard a really good one. Nearly every commercial cab uses cheap piezo crap tweeters. I’ve used seriously nice ones and still don’t dime em, but that little bit of air on top can be just the ticket. For upright, I think it’s absolutely essential

I have a Genz Uber 212 so that Mesa M6 might be a perfect fit for it.

I used to have an Uber 212. Super punchy cabs. I like em. I like mine even more, but they’re stupidly expensive :/

Edit- the Uber 212 with an M6 should sound great if you like that punchy 120hz thump to the chest thing, which I do

What's with the "V. Tired"? I saw that on the video.

She said that's how you feel after being on tour with Moby. There was all this black duct tape all over that and the knobs, so it was like buried treasure when I took it all off.

Did she have it strung 'righty'? Or are these old eyes playing tricks on me?(It looked like it in the video)

Yes, she plays with the low string on the bottom, as if it were a righty flipped upside down. I think that's how she learned. We're not all inherently gifted like Jimi. Fortunately there happened to be a spare nut in the case so I promptly had it reversed to string it properly. I also swapped the stock Hipshot B-type bridge for an A-type. They don't directly line up, but 30th St. Guitars did an amazing job and treated me like the rock star I'm not.

Love JD and Peter Hooky. So fun to play.

Yeah. I love playing with the Digital bass riff. Fun to play when warming up.

I don’t know who played with Ozzy on that album. I thought it was Sarzo, but maybe he was later. That one part is pretty cool, but overall the bass playing on the Ozzy solo stuff never really caught my ear.
