Thunderbird Club

But wait, it gets better!, uh, well, that's all relative i suppose. I'm sure my punishment awaits me.

You let 'em get together and surf the internet? I bet you get some really weird pop up ads after they have been online together. Especially with the Precision involved. I have to keep my P pretty well constrained or it gets out and beats up the neighbor's guitar. There is more than one singer with a dent from it's unruly headstock. Sweet voice, temperament like Hank the cat.

That's why I behave like that on a race track instead of a street. I'm more of a granny on the street. Well, not entirely, but I admit nothing. I also armor up before riding, no matter what, and all risks I take are pretty well calculated. It's been like that for decades. Things can happen, but there are ways to even the odds. When people find out I ride sportbikes, I always get the stories of dead uncles, maimed buddies, and all that. It seems ghoulish to the story tellers, but I want to know everything about what happened. We can all learn something new, and passing along what went wrong and learning from it is one more way to even the odds. The stories won't ever make me stop riding. They do, however, make me smile. Getting out of bed might kill you, but nobody tells those stories.

I can elaborate... the curvy park roads have overflow parking on the soft shoulders of the road and those cars bring dirt and gravel onto the road surface. He hit that gravel and slid off the single lane road flipping with his bike. Those that saw it think he was lucky it was just an ankle break. They were sure he'd be dead but he wasn't.

totally hear you....she ain't going anywhere...

The stuff they come up with................ They're much kinkier then I.
Seems that the home cam caught them listening to Bowie.

Well played Sir,
However, I'll raise you with a Thunderbird II and a CFMP.

I'll throw in a VP and cover your CFMPs with a good old pair of $h!t Kickers...(sans the spurs for now)...;)

Any news on what you bought from Guitar Center yet?
Scheduled to arrive at the local GC tomorrow. Figured I'd have it delivered there, that way I can unbox it in their store and hand it right back to them for a refund if it isn't what I hope it is.:D

Not sure if you caught it, but the day after I posted my adventure with the random GC instrument grab bag process they posted another used bird at the same store. The ad said 2018 bird but the pic was a 2015. Looked pretty nice, I'm hoping they just had the pics messed up and that's the one I got. Odds are slim that any one GC store would have two used 2015 birds in stock at the same time.

Then again, there might be some snotty nosed punk out there thinking he just scored big time on a 2018 for $1200, and now he's scratching his head trying to figure out why his '18 has toggle switches on it, while I'm fuming about getting a Jizzcaster.:roflmao:

I did see the follow up. Maybe you can make a swap with them and convince them they screwed up and owe you the '15 that is now on their website. $1200 is about the right price for a '15 these days, so far as I can tell. I don't know what an '18 is worth. Probably less than '15 in the long run.

My thought as well. Gbass could very well have them over a barrel. (ehem)

I have faith in GC, they've never done me wrong yet. If I had to make a bet, I'd bet that my purchase will result in a 2015 bird. The pic in my purchase didn't fit the description and the invoice and bill of sale all say 2015 TBird. The beast they have on their site right now is called a 2018 bird so that's probably what it is that they're selling. They again just probably put the wrong pic in the ad. And I suspect the pic they used was actually the 2015 I bought. Time will tell.

I sure hope you got a 2015 'Bird. You will like it a whole lot. You already know what to expect, since you have an EB and we have discussed what the tone pot does.

That is the shelter. I volunteer with a doberman rescue organization. Every dog is fostered in a home, tested around family members, other pets, etc. You very much know what you are getting through a lot of the breed rescue groups that foster all dogs in homes of approved and experienced volunteers.

Awesome that you do that! I used to do something similar with cats at an animal shelter in Chicago. I specifically worked with and rehabilitated the “my cat from hell” types, and every one of my fosters had a detailed write-up about their progress, triggers and personality quirks (sometimes I even had photos and video to share with potential adopters)...and every one was extremely hard to let go.
