Thunderbird Club

Yah, darn drummers keep exploding in the middle of a song... then there's having a drummer, a good one at that - and having them be the one most in need of prodding to actually reply to an email or listen to prospective material. Being the BL is so much fun. :)

Today we were going to have a vox/bass/drums rehearsal to drill the singer with regard to intonation. After she quit there was no point in having it with just the two of us, but drummer is still spending the time going through things by herself -- really does put in some effort. I may be musical director, but she is the whip cracker.

That's good - 2 forces are stronger than one. Convincing the 3rd guarantees a certain amount of success, at least in a quartet.

Around here drummers are the hardest to find -- luckily mine hunted me down, which has made everything easier. Guitarist is out of town for another three weeks, so hope to have a replacement by then.
That is one of the reasons I took up drums. Turns out playing drums is a blast, too. Bonus!

(No. 9 No. 9)

I found some of my Grandfathers papers from when he was a young Dr getting experience in (then called) Malaya from the mid 20s to maybe early 30s (not sure on return date).

Anyway his papers included ownership of a Singer 9. (I took some liberty and imagined the Sports car version.)
Also his passport and cup for Billiards runner up.

Any chance of you filling the vocal chair?
