Nothing super fancy. Bianchi Infinito CV with Ultegra group set, hand built (but affordable) wheelset with HED Belgium wheels and White Industries hubs.

Who said I was gonna put it in the EB3L?! Assuming I keep the EB3L, I’ll be giving Novak a call for sure
I have no plans to put it in the EB3L. Kinda thinking it would sound too muddy so far forward
Those problems suck and are sometimes d@mn difficult to figure out. Smart to bring a backup.Hey, playing a Thunderbird at a gig tomorrow. Been in the studio all week prepping for a couple years touring with it.
Running some pedals but got some grounding issues.
Can’t tell if it’s the bass or a few issues going on.
I tried others basses and di’s and still had the problem tried a different power supply.
Assumed it was the studio. Got to the gig venue a day early and the issues still there.
When I touch the strings the buzz gets worse.
If I touch the jack it cleans up a bit. If I touch a pedal it cleans it up.
Taking my p bass in case. But trying to sort it out for the gig and for ideally using the thunderbird for the tours.

I was hoping to try the Rio Grande pickups that come stock with that bass. Guitarists rave their pickups, but besides Tommy Shannon, I’ve never heard their bass pickups. Never know after I try em! I have no clue what the build time is gonna be like on that bass, so I’m not sweating it just yet![]()
WINNING!!That's it!
I'll tell the store manager I want to demo a large tube head and a pair of 8x10 cabs!
I'll grab a lime green Bongo bass and do a series of Nickelback songs (not the bass lines, just the melodies) at full volume.
I bet I can empty that store in minutes!
Just to get it straight, you have tried other basses and you still have the noise problem?Hey, playing a Thunderbird at a gig tomorrow. Been in the studio all week prepping for a couple years touring with it.

Hah. I had a Specialized I really liked. A friend of mine in Alaska is super into mountain biking and has some crazy Specialized. He covered over the 'iz' so it said "Special Ed".They call it ‘Celeste!’ I wish they made an Infinito in solid Celeste, but it’s still an amazing bike. It helps that a drummer I play with owns the nicest road bike shop in Nashville. I got both of my bikes for way less than either one would normally cost. “Cycling- as addictive as cocaine and twice as expensive”

Took the big block out for a spin too! It was 50 here and no clouds either.70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Had an awesome, semi-leisurely 22 mile bike ride. Awesome day!

Sorry not a Mesa... car stuff.
Farenheit AND minimum 50 MPH!50? MPH or KM/H?
Long boring story, but I was shopping for new mic pre amps when I remembered me and my old studio partner have 8 API 3124’s in a large lunchbox type powered case. 4 of em belong to me. Asked my old engineer if I could have em back, so I’m getting my 4 API’s back and buying his 4 for a grand. These aren’t API branded (they didn’t manufacture 3124’s except in consoles back then), but the schematics were used to the T by a genius studio electronics pal of mine. 4 of the pres are modded with John Hardy op amps for a slightly different color. So I now have 8 world class mic pres. This pleases me very much
