Thunderbird Club

You might be right. I'm not sure if either of these sets are Cobalts. I know I have a set I took off my VP, I just can't recall what the Cobalt Flats look like. It's driving me nutz.

I’ll try to find some to look at in the morning :)

Little string help needed.
I'm normally very good about labeling strings I've removed from basses if they still have useable life in them. Unfortunately, I have two sets of flats that I didn't label and now I'm not sure which set is the Cobalt flats. One set has nickel silver ball ends no silk, and the other has brass ball ends no silk. Are either of these Cobalt flats?
Both of my sets have purple silks.

Good points.;)
:roflmao:

Figuring it to be a one-time thing, I listened-and ogled(the NR)-all the way through. Whoever did the mashup did a bang up job.
same here....muted the audio and looked at the NR..

better....

kinda hard to tell if it's a II or a IV..

I can't believe you guys are hung up on the Thunderbird here... Maybe time for some new reading glasses?

I think both cobalts and chromes both have purple silks at both ends.

I just put Cobalt flats on my VP. They have purple silks.

Got a call from the owner of Robin Guitars today. I guess the bass the super fan had bought me had been sold and they neglected to pull it down from the Reverb site. They said they were instructed to build me a brand new one, so pick a color and neck/fingerboard type. Kinda looking forward to this :)
Does the horseshoe hurt when you sit down?
