Thunderbird Club

Don't know how i made it through working at Delta without destroying my back.
The things i saw that happened there to other people, Oye!!!!!!!!!
I'm grateful to say the least.
tough work...on a Southwest back from Orange County yesterday and those guys were taking a heap of sh1t...not to mention the work itself..

one trip...mo betta..

Only time I have more than a one-trip load is if we have the stage for the afternoon/night. Otherwise the average gig is on-stage asap, 40-45 min set and off asap.

On a completely unrelated note, this is our new friend, Zen Q. Fish. He's a baby Black Orchid Betta :)

my MO as well...possibly the nature of the gigs in our neck of the woods?..

pretty much across the board - I always try to book first slot so we have more time to set up and muck with the sound-board. Our friends who show to hear us appreciate a 9PM start as well.

Simple and ez cartage. No spaghetti, no balancing heavy, wired up objects. Two trips? Fine. Can't do it easily alone? Nope.
Small footprint, easy on the eyes.

Hold my beer...
I like to just plug in and rock. Every extra connection has the potential to create issues. Think of how many times you have seen guitarists futzing around with their pedals, holding up the show...

We ousted a lead guitarist for this very reason. Rule-of-thumb; get it on and off stage fast, and never have anything on stage that is not tested and bulletproof.

@Dadagoboi , by two amps, do you mean two bass amps, one set with EQ for highs and the other set with EQ for lows?

However you want to do it with whatever gets you your sound: 2 bass amps, 2 guitar amps, one of each. Just beware, the simplicity police might get you fired.

The absolute last thing I ever want to be is the "headliner" who goes on last. Make me the warmup act every time and I'm happy. Off stage and completely out of there by 10:30 or 11:00 at the latest! I schlep a big amp on plenty of occasions, but I usually end up with the upright, which means two trips anyway. Getting set up on stage is a couple minutes - plug in the amp, plug in the board, turn on the wireless, turn on the amp, make noise. Getting off stage is the reverse and takes the same minimal amount of time. Everything gets checked beforehand. So far, the only gear related failure has been when a sealed water bottle fell and hit the amp's switch (on the back). It took me some serous head scratching to figure out that there was nothing at all wrong - just an amp that had been turned off. That won't happen again.
