I like TBirds in general, but the Lull instruments are just perfection, in construction, in balance, they're just awesome. Add to that a perfect sunburst finish and what's not to like other than that big ol' price tag?

All I can say is that my Lull T-4 is truly worth it - Best Bass ever!

Congratulations on a really nice case, too. I'm so tired of gray or black lining. I mean, damn, you pay good money for a bass and another hundred or more for a case the least they can do is offer a few color options like red or green or blue, etc.

Thanks! Those are the guitar humbucker sized TBplus pickups that come in the Les Paul basses. I inserted them into 70's TBird pickup covers so that I could easily hide the huge routes from the original pickups. I can't really say it sounds like a stock Goth model at all. These pickups are super aggressive and seem even louder than the black TBplus pickups in my Gibsons. You can tell that they are TBird pickups when you hear them, they are just more 'there" if that makes any sense.

I Think you're right, however I'd sure try the whole process with out the pedal, just a cord straight into your amp as way to confirm. I've had various T Bird pups squeal and feed back too, none ever actually needed replacing as it turned out.
