This would work.My 67 NR came with 2. I'm too laz....er, unqualified to remove the superfluous pup.![]()
You make it sound so illicit. That's over 85 grams! In fact it is more than 85200 milligrams!
See - sounds better in metric.
Until you don't have eardrums. Then it's a problem. When I use those by themselves, I mainly hear drums.
We use 2 Bose L1's for PA and monitors. With their 180 degree dispersion, we hear what the audience(assuming we have one)hears.

Just send it to me. I'll remove the excess weight from your axe without using an axe or equivalent on it. I won't even charge a disposal fee. This would work [to remove the superfluous pickup].

I may have been a slight wiseass. It's hard to believe. I have been using plain old foam earplugs for years. They aren't great or perfect, but they sure beat being deaf. I started using them riding the motorcycle, and now I use them for a lot more than that. They also scrub out your ears a little. It's a problem even before that, but definitely after. Hence, Beats (unless/until I switch to IEMs).
No, you don't. That was a question, right?I like P basses?
Plus, they are clovers.
Ken Smith Bass Burner nickel rounds ... for some reason people seem reluctant to try them.
When I put on a fresh set a few weeks later they sounded exactly the same.
I do that sometimes because I'm not sure I can trust my ears. Since I hear them every day, I don't know if they've gone dead and I'm just used to them. So I tend to give it about three months. But I'm pretty sure I get more. I can get at least a few months on Rotosounds. Then why did you change them?

Even with a quiet helmet, I still wear the plugs on the bike. Noise volume is speed related. I admit nothing else.I assumed as much. Just being a geek in response.
Our stage manager/head sound guy wants a clean stage and total control over the sound. The sanctuary isn't huge, so I get it from a sound perspective. But on our stage, it just means I wouldn't hear much of anything except quieter drums, instead of mainly loud drums. (I know, just being thorough).
I had started using earplugs on my bike, but then got a much quieter helmet.

I had a 'lying around the workshop' 'beat to hell' set of BBs come on a custom built bass a couple of years ago. When I put on a fresh set a few weeks later they sounded exactly the same. They just don't go dead.
I usually order from Jason at Fret Nation. He carries pretty much everything, and gives a discount to TalkBass members. These are on my list and I’ll definitely try on a set. Looks like “Just Strings” and “Strings and Beyond” carry them for ~$22-24. Not on Amazon, though.
