yeah, it plugged into a 426 Hemi..If I remember correctly, the Eddie Bauer edition was 500 watts into eight tens.

I whipped up a quick prototype for you! It's 35W and 3945 12AU7's in the power section and 55 12AX7's in the pre-amp sectionI'm now thinking "maybe I could design and build some kind of amp that uses 12AU7 in the power section. Maybe an array of 40 12AU7s in a push pull configuration for a total of about 100W. Probably very doable, but a rally dumb idea. Just might have to do it... Because failure is always an option and the failure of any power tube, or even a few power tubes would be almost inconsequential to operation.

Perfect! I knew this all along. I'll let you know how that piece of logic works on the wife.I think if we took a poll the consensus would NOT be buy both. It would be find a third and buy all three.*
*Statistically, more is better. With each change, you are removing a degree of freedom so for meaningful comparisons, you need a larger sample.**
**So math says you need to buy more Thunderbirds.

ENIAC....serious weirdness..I whipped up a quick prototype for you! It's 35W and 3945 12AU7's in the power section and 55 12AX7's in the pre-amp section

awesome avatar!...Perfect! I knew this all along. I'll let you know how that piece of logic works on the wife.
Simple solution. If it doesn't work. Add more tubes. More tubes is better than fewer! Does that apply?I'm now thinking "maybe I could design and build some kind of amp that uses 12AU7 in the power section. Starting a new business?yawn.......
these will run on 120Vdc and have REALLY low output Z....16 of these could potentially create an all tube power/output transformerless bass amp that on paper could put out over 300 Watts and weigh 20lbs or less...

Didn't Steve Harris always play with his fingers? The band wants to do Trooper by Iron Maiden, so I may have to revisit trying a pick (last used one in the 80's).

And one foot on a monitor.Didn't Steve Harris always play with his fingers?
All while mouthing all the words. And one foot on a monitor.

Good to know, haven't tried it yet, but will give it a go without the pick.Didn't Steve Harris always play with his fingers?
A true bass player's tone is in the foot that is resting on the monitor. And one foot on a monitor.
He also uses flats. Good luck!Good to know, haven't tried it yet, but will give it a go without the pick.
There are all kinds of tones from a Bird.
This in particular really floats my boat. Not like i haven't posted this before.
