Thunderbird Club

I know. (Maybe one day I'll understand it!) I generally don't like others covering songs, but I do like the Staple's version. You can't not like Mavis's soulful singing.

I generally am indifferent about cover songs. But when a band has a new/interesting/great take on a cover, I love it.

Examples include:
Devo - Satisfaction
Judas Priest - Green Manalishi
Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams
White Zombie - Boogie Man
Vanilla Fudge - (pretty much their whole catalogue)
Korn - Word Up
Celtic Frost - Mexican Radio
Alice Cooper - Man With The Golden Gun
The Flaming Lips - Smoke on the Water
Duran Duran - Ball of Confusion
Body Count - Institutionalized
Rage Against the Machine - Renegades of Funk
Primus - Making Plans for Nigel
Queens of the Stoneage - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
U.K. Subs - Rocking in the Free World
Headstones - Edmund Fitzgerald
Lemmy & Ted Nugent - Tie Your Mother Down
Rush - Summertime Blues

The Hawks and the Avanties are among the most beautiful cars ever built. A kindler, gentler time when aesthetics mattered in the car industry. Unfortunately, Stubebaker didn’t make it past ‘63. A big loss.

I’m a huge fan. Here is designer Ray Loewy’s wiki page. Guy was truly an artist.

yeah, just like Nash and Hudson merging to create AMC in the 50’s and then the whole thing being gobbled up by Chrysler in the 80’s......Chevy owners have the luxury of modding their cars if wanted ( since there are so many out there) but there is something to be said about keeping stuff stock, specially when pedigree and availability are what they are.....
