Thunderbird Club

You might have upgrade fever!
On all the instruments I've cannibalized new pots into, I really only noticed the difference down the road as they don't seem to be Rice Krispy like as easy. Less snap crackle and pop.

As a result of this, I change pots when they make noises or die

+1 on this... The Epi Classic Pro is already a great instrument from the beginning, and I see absolutely no point in doing any changes on it, unless something breaks down.

That's the first time I've taken a group shot of them together in a tight frame.

Love my 'birds! :)

Nice herd !

This model of Epiphone Silver has the neck in maple or mahogany ?

I love the red & i'm glad i had that liquitex spray paint, saved me from getting a big full can of red this morning. Filled up some minor dings here & there, but i'm in love with this red right now. Still gonna do a burst on it with satin black edges (the only parts of the bass that are going to be painted red is the front of the body, the inner headstock & the sides of the fretboard - done with my red acrylic paint - to add contrast between the black)

In the end, the body will be mostly black with the front red burst & some red paint binding on the front adding a division. The neck is also black but with the fretboard sides painted red & the front of the board stained with water base stain in black.

Still need to dish out a few for new black tuners & a white bone nut for the new string spacing. It's going to be great & all finished by the end of February!

:roflmao: What year? :roflmao:

Sorry, couldn't resist knocking that one out of the park... it was like a beach ball coming slow right over the plate. ;)

But seriously, good job!

Hahaha good one Larry :D, it's done at the end of this upcoming month 2016 :P

& thanks, most of the paint job for the body will be done today, in a few weeks the neck will have a go on the work bench before it's off to paint. Good month, good year to a slow starting one

I didn't get that Black 'Bird on CL. I have kind of a limit on the amount of instruments I'm "allowed" to have. I do have something else in the works today. Hopefully I can give you an update in a few hours...

Stay out of trouble Geoffy!

I stash mine all over the place, that way there's no solid group to count and she lost track a long time ago of how many I have! ;)

Mine are all lined up neatly on the wall and one floor stand. No hope for me. :wacky:
I have mine all in a closet. We added on a room sometime back and I built in a big closet with lots of room for basses. Of course the new Bird isn't in this pic but anyway I think I have 8 now. Idk may be a few back behind the clothes!

Nice pissing match going in the Jazz Bass Club. Again

I love the Tbird club

I'll have to look at that.............................I just can't even imagine anybody getting that excited about one of those things :roflmao:
