Thunderbird Club

Who needs numbers? Just do like Lemmy and have everything all the way up.
Thunderbird.
I do tend to set my mic a little high;)
Knobs have numbers? Who knew! I'm not even sure when the last time I actually looked at the numbers was. The little pointers they sometimes installed as part of the pot installation below the knobs look great, but some of us would never be able to figure out what those are for. Sounds like they might actually be useful to you.
I could blindly turn knobs, but....
I like to have a little room on the volume and tone to turn up without going to the amp.
There’s also this sweet spot on the VP when the neck pickup is on full and the bridge is on 8.

I have to ask because I just can't keep track anymore of the offences I may or may not be committing.
I'm thinking it's become a constantly growing ever changing list. I try to be polite, respectful, never intentionally offensive, but if someone wants to have unreasonably/logically thin skin, I don't play that game with adults who have willful arrested emotional development. I do regularly offend Thunderbirds by my bad playing.

To all those running flats on their THUNDERBIRDS...

It has been a few weeks since I saw Steve Harris and his back up band and I am still thinking about flats on the bird. And the Slinky's on there now are just as meh as they were before, only getting worse, so I think it isn't too long until it is time to change them out.

Having had a less than optimal experience with cobalt flats in the past, I won't go with those.

Between Chromes and Roto 77s, what does the hive mind choose? Or is there something else I should be thinking about?
I really liked Rotos on the VP and Fender Flats on the '76 (which have more mids than Chromes), TIs sound good on the '76 as well. Cobalts were nice, not great on the VP.

I'm pretty sure I regularly offend the thin skinned, but I'm often not sure how/why because I fail to understand how facts (hard facts like vaccines save lives) can be offensive. But I think my THUNDERBIRD loves me unconditionally.

Holy Cow. I don't know what I'd do if they shut down this Thread.
Yeah. I generally hang out here while watching my Dodgers. I don’t otherwise watch much TV. I find I spend more time in the shed during the off season. You could get a Mustang and join that club. No where near as good, but nice folks. The MLB thread is a pretty amicable place to hang.

MLB? Is that an orientation thing?

Got my BBE Sonic Stomp today. It was in like new condition. Better than the pics indicated.

Just at home it seems to add some lows and a little crispness on top. All to varying degrees, depending on where the controls are set. I'll be able to give it a go in a large room this Sunday. In a large room I can see how it could define the tone a little.

I’m a devoted Chromes player on my MIM Standard P. Love them. Haven’t tried them on a Bird. The Cobalts are still on the ‘15; I like them and promised myself they’re on there for awhile. I tried the Gold La Bella’s Deep Talkin’ when they first came out on the previous Goth I had. Did not like the tone, feel or brittleness of them. They looked cool though. I was tempted to try Chromes on the new blue Epi, but stuck with rounds instead. Maybe try both. Good reason to get another THUNDERBIRD!

I liked Chromes and Fender Flats on my Casady, both until they went dead. It now has Labellas, which suit it.
I have had Chromes on my J for years, and they work well.
Not sure if any of this is helpful to @PillO ...
