Thunderbird Club

All this talk of Lull pickups is driving me crazy! I am so happy with the sound of the Gibby TB+ pu's in my Classic Pro. MUST FIND THE WILL TO RESIST!!!!!

No reason not to like the stock ones, they have a great tone too.

I really kick myself for selling my black BaCH NR II, I put a Lull pup in it as well, really had "that tone".
Was it a nitrocellulose finish?

In other words, was it a black bach shellaced?

The solution is a second Thunderbird. Be careful, though. Once you have two, they breed. Then you have a flock. Not that it's a bad problem to have.

As it turns out I really like Reverse Thunderbirds best and have sold the three Non Reverse Birds that I've owned
Yes, I do regret it......

At one time...

I have no interest in a NR at all. So, there you have it. Plenty more for everyone else, so long as Scott doesn't keep buying them up. He's on to VPs now. How long before he corners that market, too?

My wallet thanks you!
I don't have Lull or Thunderbucker pickups in a 'Bird ... yet. The Chinabuckers in the Flamingo work fine, but they will eventually get an upgrade. The stock pickups in the fairy dust '01 and the DiCola pickups in the '15 are just fine as they came from the factory.

Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke.
What kind of attitude is that? Sheesh!

There are two kinds of insanity - the routine one where you do the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome. The second is doing it different every time and expecting the same result. I prefer the and endorse the second version. It's expensive, but a whole lot more fun.

If it ain't broke, you need to "improve" it in a way that requires subsequent repair. Then fix it in a way that allows for further improvements.

The more complicated the insanity, the more enduring and resilient it is.

It is this or I end up doing things that get me watched by the NSA. I'm probably already being watched for thinking about nitrated organic molecules...

You can't fool me, Canada doesn't have an NSA, there's just some committee that monitors your consumption of Back Bacon and Maple syrup.

I'll be replacing my ChinaBuckers with some sorta of pick-up's of the ThunderBird nature.
