I have more bass guitars than pairs of shoes. That's partly because I have lots of bass guitars and partly because I don't have very many pairs of shoes.

I hear ya. I have little to no interest in shoes except out of necessity, whereas the interest in basses is...is.... Very normal. People that don't have several are the oddballs and need counseling.

They need to get off their stodgy &*%$# and offer some other colors, unlike Uwe, I collect for fins. Would it kill them to do a Non Reverse...….

One less route, one less pickup, one less potentiometer it couldn't be any fng easier. A VP nonreverse, ah one can dream.

not that i know of. the one in the pic started out as a white NR II (my holy grail) BaCH...belongs to a friend of Nocturnal who refinished it as seen...

The rare times that there will be a Bird in a store is typically the Sam Ash here.
It was the Queens store the had the one and only VP i've ever seen.

I've noticed the same thing here in Louisville and Nashville. Even bought my VP from SA online. GCs never seem to have any birds.

Holy cow! That has to be one of the very best looking basses I've ever seen. Don't think I'll sleep tonight. I love everything about it.

It was done by Joe (Chromium), it started as a BaCH, he skinned some Gibson pickups and used '76 covers - really beautifully done. As I understand it, the bass is now owned by someone else on the East Coast.

Yes, Gibson or Epiphone should do this - Slam dunk. Hurry up and take my money!

I have that pic in my “screensaver”. It’s a beautiful bass, but must have had a broken screw on the tailpiece?

Speaking Conrad’s, I’ve seen one from the seventies in good condition priced very low. Tempted.

Looks like a 3 point on the original stud locations. Might not be able to intonate it.
It needs a Badbird!
