I'm new to T-Birds - what has changed?

P/U's, bridge and electronics.

Or is that somewhere in the 670+ pages in this thread?

Well that and a ton of sidebars that go off into wide ranging topics.

Regardless of neck dive, I prefer the beefier tuning pegs, I guese those stopped in the 70s

Well, those are easy to solve... you can move the strap button or get a wider strap or get a grippier strap or any combination of those things. As for the tuning pegs like the ones you remember from the 70's... that should be just a matter of swapping them out with what makes you happy. Someone has to make what you're looking for I'd think.

View attachment 790286 And to prove that I am not a vintage snob, my Epi Classic Pro Thunderbird.

Is that one of the 2 bridges that you ordered from my link back a bunch of pages ago, Scott?

THAT bass looks amazing now! Great mods!

That '69 is truly the unicorn of the TBird world! I want that bass! drool

Now that just looks right! Are you going to add a bridge pup ring?
I am debating drilling holes in the bass and fighting off the urge to ebay the black pups and hardware.......just in case these jump in value.

Shoot... if I had the opportunity to buy an all original or your modded NR, I'd go for your modded one! The tail piece already takes it out of the "original" market space for reselling, right?

edit: Nevermind... I see that it's not actually attached. My bad.

Fighting that urge well!

Keep it and make it yours Scott!

I've never regretted modifying any of my Birds, they're supposed to be a little different.
