Keep it and make it yours Scott!

I've never regretted modifying any of my Birds, they're supposed to be a little different.
Edited...

This right here is the ethic! Mine is already on the road to Modville, albeit a slow one, and it's now my favorite player. Plus there's not a lot of collectability anyway... Not that I care...

Exactly. My '91 is now purely my bass guitar. It's going to undergo more modifications over time. It might even get a refin someday, since I have four 'Birds and they all look fairly similar. I think a royal purple 'Bird would be good. I'm not competing with our Queen, just aspiring to being some kind of minor princeling.

For what its worth, I found a chance to use the drop D peg that was on my 2015 when I got it. The BL gave me a funny look when the floor shook at the end of a song that ends on a D. I'm not sure he liked it, but I sure did. It's far easier to intonate and keep tuned than I thought it would be.

That sticker mark on the Greco. :(

Now there's a mod a can't get behind... unless you're a famous rock star already. Then it adds to the instrument and makes it more valuable.

I'd take it to pieces, sand it lightly, & varnish the whole thing again to have it match, then put it back together. no visible mark.

You guys have me really wanting to put a black guard on my white Classic... I really like it with the white guard, but in some pics from last night, it looks like it doesn't have a pickguard at all. I've also wondered about doing a faux "binding" on the body and pickguard perimeter with black pinstripe tape...

Was thinking the same myself for mine. I put on some DR Black Beauties, black pickguard would complete the "ensemble"! ;)

Is there a wire cavity like the gibson's have under the guard on the Classic Pro Epiphones?
