Thunderbird Club

Don't forget that the WTC was first attacked in 1993. The song was more reactionary than prophetic methinks. . .

I would never 'credit' their lyrics in that song as being 'prophetic', they just took on a different weight after 9-11. A heightened awareness of terrorists and terrorist attacks had been around since the 80's. At least that's when I recall first hearing those terms.

True that.....but to specifically mention driving a plane into a building....A friend of mine was having a coffee on the roof of a nearby building and his video made it onto the evening news.

His phrasing "driving" a plane was odd also - "flys" could have fit just as well. Artistic license I guess, along with 'driving' that plane into the Art Deco masterpiece.

In the interest of getting back to Thunderbird containing content, here's Em and me last Saturday night:

And no that is not my iPad.

Everything that Queen Veronica writes, I read in the voice of Dame Edna Everage.
Needless to say, the video posted a few days back threw me because the voices didn't match.

 Get serious, Bob!

yeah I get that but was it ever chooken?
No never a Chooken.
EnZedders also have Chooks in my experience.

A hen running around the pen is a chook. A cooked chicken is also a (cooked) chook. That older lady up the street that wears Dame Edna spectacles is an old chook.

Never forget that googie eggs come from chooks.

Finally dug my old zebrawood "guitar of the week" out of the closet. The neck was still cracked. ;) Started filling my online cart with clamps, glue, glue needles and decided to call my local luthier. "Bring it over" says he. "Thirty bucks", clean break, pick it up Monday at the latest." He said you might not even be able to tell. I said I don't care.

I would never try to sell a guitar with a break, repaired on not without disclosure. I have seen thunderbirds online that were obviously cracked and the seller calls it "a scratch". Gibson should just offer pre-cracked/repaired thunderbirds. Just get it over with, LOL. It can be their version of roadworn. :bassist:

Especially in inclement weather. You don't want to be the "someone (who) left the cake out in the rain". " I don't think that I could take it.'Cos it took so long to bake it and I'll never have that recipe again, Oh, no."
Oh no, here we go AGAIN! LOL!
Well, the best version I ever heard was performed as McArthur Parka by the Canadian punk band Sled Dog Afterbirth.

There was a spy novelist in the 80s (can't recall his name off the top of my head) who had used flying a plane laden with fuel into a building in a book.
