I gave the Anderton YouTube comparison of a Dingwall Dbird and American made Gibson Tbird a listen and posted the following in the Dingwall thread:
"Gave them a listen, both sound great. I think the Dingwall will be more comfortable and; of course, lighter and more versatile. While neither sound, IMO, like my '76 Tbird did, both are closer to my Lull Thunderbird 5. If I had to choose, I would probably go with the Dingwall; but for 1/2 the price, an Epiphone Vintage Pro probably sounds more like a vintage Tbird. Personally, I'm not a fan of 1 1/2" fret width, so I'm doing a project bass, basically a FSO with Tbird electronics and a 1 5/8" neck. I don't need the Dingwall versatility since it's a Hard Rock band, and since it will be a backup bass, the $ will be easier to justify."
If anyone here has a Dbird, I'd be interested in your opinion.
