You could always take a trip to Salt Lake City. Temple Square has some pretty awesome Architecture. And if you go right now, it's all lit up in Christmas lights. Also, a few blocks away is the Cathedral of the Madeleine, most impressive indeed.

You know what. (with all due respect to religious/non-religious beliefs), i can attest to that. Saw it with my own eyes.
Aaaaand, i'm a non-religious person.

Do i get banned now?

Cool version - and I like the artwork, not generally being drawn to that sort of image/style.
Yup we used to play the Doors version along with "LA Woman" & "Love Me 2x" basically just to appease the "Horse Teeth Banger" & was glad when this version came cuz it had some "oomph" to it & was much more fun to play than the same ol thing for the gazillionth time LOL

yeah, but a glass of wine or a beer costs less than a coke over there...

Might be a bit frustrating just trying to get your espresso or glass of wine in Salt Lake City...

In that case I guess you could say that for any kind of music.

I don't think so - otherwise bass players would only play basses that appeal to them visually. My (lite) point was that with noise pop, or whatever they would be considered - actually discerning 'tone' for an individual type of bass via its sonic signature would be mostly indistinguishable. Can't say that about all music.

Or Chicago - it's like a gallery of architecture.

I like the first 3-4 albums....
I like the early--first version music. Their live album (5th) is really, really good. I wore out my first One More From The Road and had to buy a second (years ago). It contains the best versions of every song on the album(s). Every song is so much better. The early recordings don't sound all that great, but the live album greatly improved the sound. To me it's classic Like the Allman's Live From The Fillmore. I liked the Live also because it has pics of Thunderbirds!

While I loved their early albums, they really took off on stage. There’s a reason they were known as America’s Rolling stones.

not disrespecting (grew up on Skynyrd, in my top 5 list) Aerosmith fits that bill better imho..
That first Aerosmith album...mamma kin, walking the dog, 1 way street, and my fav "moving out"....I repaired my stupid 8 track tape like 5 times and then even jamming the matchbook didn't work.."gotta rise above because below it's only getting worse".

I missed The Doors their first time around. I first heard Light My Fire as a Jose Feliciano song. At least that was the version played on the kitchen radio in the mornings.

learnt about them in later teens, got right into them through my 20s and 30s but don’t play them much these days.

faves - Texas Radio; Love me Two Times; Love Her Madly. and more that I can’t think of at the moment. :)
Like, Hello I Love You. Roadhouse Blues ( which I knew from Status Quo first)
I liked them just fine. But growing up in SoCal where they naturally got a lot of play, it was hard not to appreciate them to some degree. But one can just buy the first greatest hits album, Thiteeen, and that pretty well covers them IMO.
