Thunderbird Club

Seattle gets a bad rap in the media and some of it is certainly justified, but the city has taken a much more active stance of the homeless tents on sidewalks issue. I work in Pioneer Square within a block of the Union Gospel Mission (Heart of the Storm) and over the last 6 months or so the city has actively discouraged tents and cleaned them up quickly. That said, the homeless/mental health remain a huge challenge with no easy answers.
We’ve got a big problem with homeless and addicted people in Vancouver. My office is on the edge of the Downtown Eastside so I see more than I want to.

I’m presently on two Mental Health and Addictions Services building projects, so at least I feel like I’m helping to do something.

Both are excellent prices, especially considering they both come with hard cases and the GC no questions asked return policy. Anybody sitting on the 2015 purchase fence should be jumping on one of these!
If it were white I would be seriously considering jumping.

I have a dear friend who is a Mormon (and is quite observant at home). We only get to see each other once every couple of years these days, but we always go out for a steak and a good bottle of Cabernet. His line is that since his religion allows forgiveness for all sins, he is covered.

That works pretty well. My Uncle was pretty observant, though he has become much more lax about it over the years, but his kids that are still practicing are fairly serious about it, so him, my father and myself were drinking at one of the back tables. The looks on the people's faces at the surrounding tables were priceless when I started explaining we never see Bigfoot corpses because they have burial rituals or cremate their dead and "how the reason we never see Bigfoot is because they are working in league with Aliens, who provided them with cloaking devices so they can provide reconnaissance for the coming invasion". Good times.

In college I once really offended a Mormon woman with the Crass t-shirt I was wearing. I don't think I'm allowed to say what it said here. At the time I thought she took herself way too seriously. Then again I'd probably think the same thing now.
