Thunderbird Club

Liar! I've seen you play Rush, my arthritic fingers ain't gettin' it done like you can Roger.
Yer killin' me...

...your Grace. *bows deeply*

Anyway, you've got it going on. Rockin' bass player, badass. With gams.

*sometimes I hit "submit" or whatever before I finish my thought... I hate it when I do that... edited*

hahaha!
Mike has a good eye as well as a good ear!

Chuck she lived in the US for 16 (more?) years. Boston & LA I think. Came back to Aussie when the kids got to High School age. (She did a few interviews since coming back).

she was married to a metal? Guitarist, dunno who, his name was Nuno or something
yeah read that, Bettencourt...thx

Another Thunderbird sighting; check out Little Girl by Syndicate of Sound on YouTube (video posting on other sites is blocked). One of my favorite One Hit Wonder songs. I love the o-so-jangly lead Rick 360/12 - and the Rick 360 rhythm guitar; but, look what the bass player's got...:thumbsup:
Nice! But double breasted suits at the beach with girls in nice dresses instead of bikinis? I’m not surprised they weren’t bigger.

Yeah, but... that's 1966 you're looking at. Blame it on the Beatles...;) My family was stationed in the UK at the time (RAF Wethersfield); I remember listening to this song at night, on the off-shore "Pop Pirate" AM radio stations (the BBC refused to play any nasty, uncouth Rock N" Roll). This little touch of home was very welcome at the time...

Why didn’t you let us know about them before? Took Plaid to find them..

Pretty tight, smoking band!..
Appreciate the credit, but they were posted on one o' the other threads/clubs I'm a part of* and I don't remember which one(CRS).
*or "of which I'm a part".

Lakenheath?
I assume you meant this for me... No, the 2nd time we got stationed in the UK (1st time was at RAF Brize Norton - a B-47 bomber base at the time), we were originally stationed at RAF Wethersfield (near Braintree). A year later, my father got transferred to RAF Mildenhall. But, we lived at RAF Feltwell, and I went to High School at RAF Lakenheath. It was...complicated...

My bow came from Gollihur Music and cost less the 100 USD, delivered. It is plastic, but it works fine for me. Plus, it sure is better than no bow.

Yeah, I'm going to go for carbon fibre, it will keep the kevlar tailgut from being lonely. Need to fix a few things in the case, including the bow retainers. It's a project.

When the one I have wears out, I assume it cannot be rehaired. So, that is probably the way I will go. My stone age hands probably cannot tell the difference between a fancy one and a low end one anyway.

I have two wooden bows. One is a viola bow iirc. Don't think either of them are high enough quality to bother rehairing and the high - low mix of the traditionally made all wooden instrument/bridge/tailpiece with the kevlar tailgut/synthetic strings/plastic bow appeals to my 'fvck you' instinct.

It always is with the AF. I grew up at Vandenberg.

Were you 'air'bused to school?
