Thunderbird Club

It may be worth checking out - it was a full house in Winters, but I felt very comfortable and I'm claustrophobic. And where do you listen to live music w/o ear protection? ...
To the extent possible, I attend outdoor shows. My favorite venues are The Greek, The Santa Barbara County Bowl and The Hollywood Bowl. Most who play there have first rate sound people who know how to mix and keep the decibels within the limits called for by their permits/contracts. An example was a Zac Brown show at the Hollywood Bowl. I could feel the bass in my spine, hear the notes clearly and still talk to my wife. Top outdoor venues is one of the few remaining perks of living in SoCal.

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!

Man does this sound killer now......no mud....full rich musical tone....I put a Nordstrand Tone Drop in it too....no mud there either.

Anyone need a pickup?:D

I've used his Darkstar/Bi-Sonic in a few builds - CN rocks. :bassist:

Oh yah, I guess I was mostly referring to small club venues. I love attending the bigger venue shows for their state-of-the-art sound.

Every couple of weeks I tune it, play a couple of scales (pizzicato), think 'must sort out a bow', then something happens and I think 'next month'. It will happen.

Addendum: still considering geared tuners but they are a ($500) luthier job.
My bow came from Gollihur Music and cost less the 100 USD, delivered. It is plastic, but it works fine for me. Plus, it sure is better than no bow.

All I know is a 500k CTS pot, the Tone Drop and the new jack along with the incredible pickup has made this the perfect short scale for me. Always played great. SOunded good or ok, but man does it kill now.
Sounds good through all my amps and different cabs with eq'ing like I had to with the old pickup.

I should sell the old harness :D

It's very well done, I'm going to post some shot in Off Topic - But make the trip here, it's worth it!
Yeah. We have relatives near the airport, I forget the town, on the wife’s side that we’re pretty close with. They come down here all the time. One of them scubas in the aquarium; I’d love to see that too. We owe them a visit. Maybe see you or @Gaolee play, or another TB poster whose band I follow on Spotify play.
