Saw an amazing Yo La Tengo show tonight. Second night of their Hanukkah series. Lucinda Williams opened. She was great. Came back later to play a few songs with YLT, with her on vocals. They did Bob Dylan's Wallflower, an absolutely gorgeous version of The Velvet Underground's Pale Blue Eyes, and then T. Rex's Get It On. YLT was fantastic as always. The encore was a tribute to the Flaming Groovies' Roy Loney, who just died. Lenny Kaye came out to play with them.

If you can desolder and solder, you can do this. Oh, and either heat shrink tubing or (if you must) a wire nut.

I think we have discussed that before (but that doesn't negate discussing it again). As I recall, there is a half-wave rectifier for the power supply and the frequency response is far enough above 60hz that it doesn't hum.

Kalamazoos all have full wave rectifiers. And they definitely hum a bit by default. Were you thinking we were still on the Silvertones?

Hey Engle, thanks for posting the Wall of Voodoo video. It brought back fond memories of college, when MTV was new (to me at least), and they played music videos. I admit I haven't watched it in years, but at the time it seemed quite entertaining. Mexican Radio always made me smile.

Sounds like a great show! Lucinda did Jessie Malin’s Christmas show last week that was broadcast live on LSUG. It also included Ryan Hamilton. Good stuff.
