Thunderbird Club

Hmmm. Now I'm thinking about an all popping version of Stand By Me.

Couch bass confirms that it is doable. And in bad taste. Have to see if it pops on a Thunderbird. And if so, might have to become a staple.

i can totally hear this in my head as something cool. Or terrible. Or both in one. You are a genius.

Here's my quick review of the Bergantino Forte HP.from last night.
Lately I've been running my 75 SVT with two Bergantino NV 115's or an NV 610.I've also run these cab combos with an Aguilar 751,Mesa 400 or a Euphonics Audio I800
At 6.5 pounds this amp light years ahead of all of those.
The features on this amp are outstanding. This amp sounds better then all of my tube amps..and I'm a tube snob.
I called my wife after the first set and told her that I think I've found my "forever"amp head
There were a couple of Bass players in the crowd that I know and they came up with compliments and questions.
My band digs it as well.

The main thing that attracted me to this particular offering from Bergantino other than outstanding reviews was the 1200 watt rating at 4ohms.I play in a loud hard rock band.Last night I ran the master at just over 1/4..the clean headroom seems to be limitless

It's been a while since I felt the need to purchase another amp.Age and weight pushed my decision..not my weight..the amp head weight

I messaged my Berg dealer to say that that there is no way that this will be returned.

That's it..highly recommend..Happy Thunderbird Sunday...Cheers!

The Geezer sound has definitely been an influence on me. I would like to try out his amp.
Yup, there's a video called "The End" that's rather interesting, Geezer's setup is comprised of those amps & at first I was like where's that distinct "rubbery tone" from "Master's Of Reality" etc but a few tunes later he whipped that out plus others. If my research is correct those amps & his entire rig for that matter was collaboration between Geezer & Ashdown for their "Farewell Tour" so they could go out with a BANG and from what I heard, it did exactly that!!
Definitely on my "wish list" I bet it Sound KILLER with a "Boyd"

BTW their drummer "Tommy Clufetos" was KILLER as well along with "Adam Wakeman" put the icing on the cake. Tommy also was Ozzy's drummer that many of you are familiar with but Adam is actually "Rick Wakeman's" son who has also worked with Ozzy which was a surprise to me. Again I HIGHLY recommend you guys check it out!!

I never tried any of the MAG amps but just LOVE my JE Signature Pre, I'm sure it would be a worthy investigation although the Ashdown I've been curious about is The Infamous "Head Of DOOM" View attachment 3655524
What can I say, it's "Basically NIB"
I took a MAG 300 in on a trade once years ago. Didn't really want one but it was good deal from me. I was impressed. Very warm sounding for a SS head (tube person here). I don't need one, but if I ran across a great deal I'd likely buy it. Possibly there are other warm SS heads these days, but that one was nice. If I were to go away from tubes, Ashdown would get my first look.

I'm seeing record deal and tour following. I'm getting one of those t-shirts. I'm sure there's a watermelon involved.

Oh you would have to say that. A head better sounding than a tube head from a tube snob.... Thanks brother!:rollno: Now this going to stick in my head.

Glad it sounded so good. That's a wonderful feeling while playing.
