Yes it does, I put a cover on the old one but knew I needed a thunderbird in itAnd it looks better with a chrome PU.

Hmmm. Now I'm thinking about an all popping version of Stand By Me.
Couch bass confirms that it is doable. And in bad taste. Have to see if it pops on a Thunderbird. And if so, might have to become a staple.
The Tonedrop webpage is my new favorite.I also put a Nordstrand tonedrop in it to get another set of tones, works great and sounds even better.
Yup, there's a video called "The End" that's rather interesting, Geezer's setup is comprised of those amps & at first I was like where's that distinct "rubbery tone" from "Master's Of Reality" etc but a few tunes later he whipped that out plus others. If my research is correct those amps & his entire rig for that matter was collaboration between Geezer & Ashdown for their "Farewell Tour" so they could go out with a BANG and from what I heard, it did exactly that!!The Geezer sound has definitely been an influence on me. I would like to try out his amp.
Loving my new Longhorn. A tone monster! What Longhorn? Oh, there it is. They're good.
I don't know about genius, unless you mean in the Wile sense.i can totally hear this in my head as something cool. Or terrible. Or both in one. You are a genius.
Wasn't Wile "super genius?"
The writing on the site is top notch, he always cracks me upThe Tonedrop webpage is my new favorite.
BTW their drummer "Tommy Clufetos" was KILLER as well along with "Adam Wakeman" put the icing on the cake. Tommy also was Ozzy's drummer that many of you are familiar with but Adam is actually "Rick Wakeman's" son who has also worked with Ozzy which was a surprise to me. Again I HIGHLY recommend you guys check it out!!Yup, there's a video called "The End" that's rather interesting, Geezer's setup is comprised of those amps & at first I was like where's that distinct "rubbery tone" from "Master's Of Reality" etc but a few tunes later he whipped that out plus others. Definitely on my "wish list" I bet it Sound KILLER with a "Boyd"
But there's just something about playing through plush, sparkly upholstered musical equipment.Yeah, but it's 1/10 the weight of that big@$$ Kustom-with more wattage!
Everybody should at least once in life.I don't understand what the Tonedrop actually does after reading that, but I did enjoy the proseThe Tonedrop webpage is my new favorite.
It's just a push pull to have one cap or another, works great with this pickupI don't understand what the Tonedrop actually does after reading that, but I did enjoy the prose![]()
Cool. What was your reference to single coil? Did the original pu have a coil tap? It's just a push pull to have one cap or another, works great with this pickup
I took a MAG 300 in on a trade once years ago. Didn't really want one but it was good deal from me. I was impressed. Very warm sounding for a SS head (tube person here). I don't need one, but if I ran across a great deal I'd likely buy it. Possibly there are other warm SS heads these days, but that one was nice. If I were to go away from tubes, Ashdown would get my first look.I never tried any of the MAG amps but just LOVE my JE Signature Pre, I'm sure it would be a worthy investigation although the Ashdown I've been curious about is The Infamous "Head Of DOOM" View attachment 3655524
What can I say, it's "Basically NIB"
The DC original pickup is a split, I took that out. The tone cap just has two different caps ready to use, basically dub and super dub...dank on the stank if you willCool. What was your reference to single coil? Did the original pu have a coil tap?
Yep. Tasteless about sums it up.Hmm. Listening to that in my head. Yep-and tasteless.![]()
Hope PilO sends pics.I'm seeing record deal and tour following. I'm getting one of those t-shirts. I'm sure there's a watermelon involved.Hmmm. Now I'm thinking about an all popping version of Stand By Me.

Oh you would have to say that. A head better sounding than a tube head from a tube snob.... Thanks brother!View attachment 3656123...The features on this amp are outstanding. This amp sounds better then all of my tube amps..and I'm a tube snob.
I called my wife after the first set and told her that I think I've found my "forever"amp head...
Now this going to stick in my head.
